If you had the capacity to understand the whole idea why I wrote those factors, you would understand that I'm complaining about the people who tries to justify losing features and trying to criticize people who demands.

Just for the sake of logic, choose your side! Are you a consumer who should demand more? Or are you an accepter saying okay whatever thrown at you!

You're not supposed to show me or convince what you've done during the past years or chosen. I'm interested in the ideas.

People simply came here criticize over losing additional simple features and you complain like it's anormal. What you do is anormal.

Really, paying for a cloud is cheaper? Did you read the whole text I wrote? What about internet service provider? What about speed? You may be right over losing your data but I'm the one taking that risk not you. I have never had an issue with using micro sd.

I can carry my whole music archive, all the 4k videos I shoot, I can listen to music anytime without carrying an additional dongle with me. Can you just see how much if a freedom I get!

I came here to read the comments what people wrote. Rather than constructive criticism you try to protect brands who simply s... money out of you hahah. Keep doing that! Amazing!


I'll no longer waste my time with such people like you. Just know that you're wrong while trying to justify your cases with the costs, revenue and all the other factors.

Brands should give those features. Using it should be up to me,not up to them! Simple as that.

I'm not claiming to be the target. I'm seeing people who defending loosing the extra features amd trying to justify that it's totally normal. It's not normal. It's totally normal to have additional features like jack, micro sd etc. I'm nit coming here complaining to the brand 'oh listen to me, I'm right'. Especially seeing people like you makes it even worse. Why? You don't complain, you don't stop buying and they simply, it's okay.

Yes hahaha i own apple and samsung and decided no more microSD and headphone jack, it was my plan all along!

I used to use headphone jack constantly with every device i owned (the past what, 16-17 years) and a microSD slot because i always used a card, i got the p40 pro because it had the NM card slot, guess what... I never used either feature (i have dongles that came in the box so thats not the issue and my BT headphones have a 3.5 port, which i use with my guitar amp and use with my keyboard to my pc of i need too) its because i have enough free/paid cloud storage and internal storage.

Most things are BT capable now and because of the advancements in wireless tech connecting to devices and getting perfectly good quality sound its less hassle which is what i personally want, i didnt make companies do it i had to accept the change and ive clearly adapted better than yourself, i dont miss either feature and if the quality is there, which it is (ive used £40 BT to £200 BT headphones vs £500 wired openbacks connected to £1000 DaCs and amps, the quality improvement isnt enough vs flexability/inter connectivity when the quality is good enoigh with Bt headphones).

Its cheaper to pay for cloud over a couple of years (like the 1TB storage option) than buying a 1tb Micro SD. Cloud is instant access over multiple devices at the same time, again its ease of use (for me) with having extra benefits like discounts and 24/7 live support so if anything goes wrong, which it hasnt in like 8 years ive used cloud storage, i get live support whenever i need it. Youre paying for storage by buying a Micro SD card which is slower and if it fails then goodbye data, i don't see the difference other than ones hassle free.

Isnt it only really apple that charge insane levels of money for the next storage option up? Going from 128gb to even 512gb in a lot of phones now isnt expensive/not more so that what it should be to upgrade. Also dont most companies offer their flagships with 256gb of atleast ufs 3.1 storage? (now ufs 4.0) so in 10 years we've gone from phones with 4gb of storage to max of 64gb to £200 or less phones having 128gb (some flagships offer it as the base storage option) with most phones offering 256gb now, about 1000x faster storage aswell but thats not good enough or?


You can argue all you want about it but sd slots and/or headphone jack slots change the cost of manufacturing and component placement/battery size, simple as that. It WILL increase the costs and they WILL make you pay for it even if the cost is low to manufacture. Ive not made companies do it, thats what they do because they are companies and need to make profit (which with cost of development and manufacturing usually means flagships dont make companies money), it doesnt matter if i dont like it, you dont like it or the president of america doesnt like it. If it kept phones the same price and companies didnt make changes to the devices elsewhere then I'd happyily take both micro sd and headphone port, id take removeable batteries too.

If you have such a problem with not having enough choice in flagships with 3.5 jack and Micro sd card then go do something about it or stop blaming others who have no control over it. Better yet, stop living in the past and adapt to change or you're going to be complaining about it for the rest of your life. That or buy a phone with the features, thats my advice.

If someone keeps going on about "no radio, no jack, no slot its a garbage phone" on every device ever its just stupid, we get you like those features or you're trolling, it doesnt make it garbage and doesnt contribute to anything by saying it.

Micro SD cards are slow yes(even though there are options available for quite speedy ones). However, my dear, Noone uses it as the first storage ;) it's inserted for backup purposes!

I guess you don't have the capacity to think so let me tell you. You take pictures, shit videos and that always goes to internal memory but later you move it to sd card. I'm pretty sure moving it to sd card will be much faster than relying on cloud therefore your upload speed (unless you have 5g shortwave and pay a lot for your operator :D). Here you pay for cloud, isp and you have to rely. You might oppose by saying you'd do that on the computer. Really? Do you always carry your cable, computer with you or keep doing repeatedly this steps and never tired of it?

Another argument, jack is dead. Really? What about middle class headphones. Why they still include? Can it be because of people like who paid way higher price for a flagship phone is also more likely able to buy tws and other headphones they pushed you to? Luckily there are still flagship phones which have both like sony xperia. Or asus with the headphone jack.


What else could be your argument? Will you try supporting them by saying there's not enough space? Go compare s22 ultra with sony xperia 1 iv by their size!

I see you gave a lot of effort to justify the companies to remove the feature.

First of all, let me tell you that it's not like a company's revenue drops and they try to cover it next year or following years. They cope with it right away with cost cutting, firing employees, giving less bonuses, pay rise, finding new routes... If you're talking from the perspective of supply chain, that's right! It's indeed increased however expected to be back to normal if the trade conflicts with China is solved as they seem to be getting better with pandemic.

You seem to approve the increase of the prices which have risen a few hundred $. Let me ask you this then, how much do you think it costs to companies to include a micro sd slot? Do you really think it's really expensive? From the oem perspective it's just a few dollars, engineering implementing, design and include other costs still it's not gonna increase it 50$...


This is the same for headphones jack.

Thanks to people like you they charge much higher prices for the exact same phone, exact same features but doubling the internal memory... If you go buy an micro sd card, this is one time cost. 512gb could be found for less than 100$ and 1 tb less than 200$. Yet, the manufacturers asks much more than this for a slight increase from 256gb version to 512gb version.

They removed the headphone jacks to push people even more for buying products like tws or even to use old headphones with a dongle. Apple was charging money even for dongle productions. Some might say it was coming out of the box. Do you have any helpful thing in the box rather than the cable? You don't even have adapter (talking about companies like Apple, Samsung). I remember Samsung was making fun of Apple. Later they followed everything Apple does. Nowadays it's just normal for people to have an additional component to connect to their phone to listen to music. Same for using tws.

And micro sd cards... Now you have to either bear the cost of higher internal memory or go for cloud or use the backup feature and never have all the content on your phone. It used to be much easier to have backup with micro sd. Take it off, plug it into your computer and copy everything. Now, you have to pay extra for a cloud storage or keep doing repeatedly the backup on the computer.

The level of acceptance and tolerance you people have losing your rights, your freedom to have additional features always amazes me. Some might say how 512 is not enough. My dears... They are focusing on the cameras nowadays, there's megapixel wars. Do you know that the pictures are covering more and more space? Taking a 4k videos is already normal that they try to deliver 8k 30fps. Do you know how much space an 8k video covers even for a few minutes? Do I have to wait for cloud uploading time, depending on a internet service provider?


Seriously people keep accepting please. Slowly slowly get blind. Don't demand. Just get what has served you. Never criticize :)

Luckily there are a few producers nowadays still includes these features. Sony keeps including micro sd card and headphone jack. Asus includes headphone jack and I'm hoping they will maybe do sth about the micro sd card as well.

Just like the headphone jack now, maybe 5-10% of total users want one. No way near 40% even if you combined both features in to a "preferable feature list", even this site proves this with a few thousand people which will have a higher % wanting it vs entire populations.

Also you must of forgotten but ill remind you, the world was affected by a pandemic 3 years ago, cost of components and materials have risen, companies lost a lot of money and need to make up for manufacturing costs, wages, shipping etc. Samsung and apple are the only companies that can sell at a loss and still happyily survive. Its why most companies have to increase prices to just break even (plus devices like this use far better quakity materials and hardware than the equivalent iphone, pixel or galaxy phone so actually makes sense).

Give this and the x6 about 3 months on the market, they'll lose about 20% of their value instantly and by a year they'll be down atleast 50% (so you can get this phone the same price as an iphone 12 or galaxy s21).

I hope the back doesn't look like this, I liked the other renders with the big circle ion the back and the white ceramic top paired with the leather black bottom similar to the x3 pro photographers edition.
I think Oppo should lean into the hasselblad camera aesthetic for the exterior of the phone.
Building on the xpan mode further would be great, like adding more retro modes with grain and colours to make it look kinda 90's retro which is really popular now with many older cameras.
Camera set up seems solid. Honestly I think oppo takes the best pictures (I own the X5 pro), even better than samsung or apple.
I hope it has at least 3x zoom and OIS, as the low res 2x zoom I have on mine is a big step down from the other 2 cameras and honestly the only weak point of the camera.
I cant wait to see what the bigger 1" sensor does for their already amazing low light performance paired with the new snapdragon and marisilicon chips.

Jack is dead! Sd cards are slow and useless! Sd cards are 90% more faulty products than internal storage! No matter what brand it is! But ok, if you buy copy phones from wish, then the internal storage might be as faulty as the sd cards.
