iPhone is always 2 to 5 years Late in terms of smartphone technology because they don't want to apply new and unproven tech in their iPhones.
Xiaomi and Samsung always had the best in all features until recently. Oppo and Vivo made a lot of progress in Asia because of super aggressive marketing and advertising. Xiaomi hardly makes advertising until recently.

America doesn't envy China. It was the US that made China rich because of FDI foreign direct investments and technology transfer. Until now, China doesn't have innovation. I'm Chinese, so I should know. All of these Chinese phones are NOT really Chinese-made because 70+% of the parts are made by other countries; USA, South Korea, Taiwan, Japan. Only the low tech parts are made in China like the casing.

China is not ahead in any smartphone technology.
All Chinese mobile phones are using 70% foreign parts;
1. CPU/chipset , Qualcomm Snapdragon, MediaTek Dimensity
2. Camera sensor, Sony, Samsung, OmniVision
3. Memory and storage, Samsung, SK Hynix , Micron
4. Display, Samsung
5.Photography science, computational photography, image processing algorithms, color science , optical engineering , etc, Hasselblad, Leica, Zeiss, Fujifilm.

            Ultrawide downgraded from 14mm LYT-600 to 15mm tiny JN5.

            Main is the same.

            65mm to 70mm IMX906 tele1

            135mm from F/4.3 IMX858 to LYT-600 F/3
            1 (still very bad for lowlight)

            Selfie hopefully upgraded but I don't think so

            Overall specs are way better than FX7U though (BOE X2 flat screen even 1.4mm bezels, FX7U had them uneven+ a chin), hopefully more scratch resistant glass, op13 haptics and hopefully better speakers.
