PMKLR3m, 15 Sep 2021Cpu shortage and granniesCPU shortage is only one factor, but the main thing is NO Chipset is better and cheaper than 720G, 720G is newer than 730G, 678 is discontinued because shortage but also 6 and 7 series has narrow difference in terms of price and chip architecture, they can use 860 series but maybe the price is not wise anymore like their Pro series, Exynos? Hell NO, no performance just overheat and then throttled down, Mediatek series not really well in performance like snapdragon, using 5G chip to 4G locked? Just waste money
In short sentence: NO alternative chipset that better in terms of performance, stable less issue, but price wise and also battery efficient like 720G

I can see many of Pakistani users bashing this phone as its exactly the same as Reno 5 from last year. And I have seen 10 units already being sold just 2/3 days used for 10k PKR less then the retail price.
This shows either people are not liking this phone or its just a bad phone. But honestly 50k (used)for such specs is OK price. But many good options available in market.

MGW, 05 Sep 2021They have the same chipset on OPPO Reno and Realme (number)... more1. It's because there isn't much progress in 4G chipset, and for 5G u r welcome to buy 5G or Pro version
2. 732G or G95/96 are the highest u can get in 4G, I keep 2 phones and I decided to switch to Poco X3 and M3 this year from realme/Oppo and being honest, I regret it. 720G is a very stable 4G chipset, 732G being overclocked, overheats and stutters to easily, u don't want that in a premium series as reno.
3. Regarding M3, on the lower end I was using Oppo A5 2020, then I switched to Oppo A52, recently I switched to M3 because Oppo didn't launch a true successor to A5 series. The 400nits brightness of M3 is crap and even X3 has a panel that seems less bright/saturated than cheapest Oppo phones.
Oppo's strategy is actually good for professional people like me who don't need a toy with latest and greatest but a tool that has annual polish and enhancement to design and user experience.
I update my phones once a year. And I made the mistake of going for Xiaomi, both phones have buggiest roms that I haven't seen in any android brand since 2016. I need to use banking apps so can't risk a custom ROM. Heck the software on both is behind my 2 year old A5 2020 (no ram enhancement, no MiDrop/OppoShare on M3 which is still on Android 10).
It's a shame Oppo is more expensive than Samsung in my country but Oppo/Realme and Samsung are worth it for professionals who want an Android phone.
For kids who want toys that keep breaking, Mi has plenty.

They have the same chipset on OPPO Reno and Realme (number) series for 3 consecutive generation !
In Reno series between 5 and 6 (all 4G), it is even a shame that they add very little hardware feature and advertising additional software features in Reno 6 that can be added to Reno 5 as well.
For me who bought Reno 5, i am happy not to buy Reno 6, the upgrade is NOT WORTH IT
For you who bought Reno 4, it is quite of a upgrade (if Reno 4 don't have NFC)
For your information,
Reno 4, 5, 6 uses the same snapdragon 720g (4g version)
Realme 6 pro, 7 pro, and 8 pro uses the same snapdragon 720g
All only "improve" camera and features
Yes, 720g is fast enough for most apps. But it just sucks that they still choose to stick to the same basic specs and "upgrade" it very slightly
Dear OPPO, please do not release another phone before there are any significant upgrade with it's basic specs

Extremely disappointing again on part of OPPO. Last year i waited for oppo reno 5 pro but the price is really high comparatively its world wide rates but this time Literally oppo is mocking us. Enough of this humiliating attitude of OPPO towards Pakistan. It's time for us to force them to treat us right.
Seriously it's disheartening for a person like me who waited too long for reno 6 right after first impression !
Oppo is Doing nothing for his Pakistan's fans. Many 5g phones are available here they changed 5g into 4g now also change the look of reno 6 it's the same as reno 5 💔

I had Reno 4 and Reno 5, there were no difference at all, and now Reno 6? Still same specs..Nothing change and its very expensive. They should have added zoom lens telephoto for a change, higher Battery, Dust proof/Water resistance. So sad..
