The results only the proximity sensor was not working..am convinced its the screenguard blocking the sensor since it has a dark outline on the sides, I want to get another guard remove and tests and see if it works

It is the proximity sensor that turn the screen off while a call is on - you could check if it works in the CPUZ app under the censors tab ( look for stk 32600 Proximity) - the value should change from 5 to 0 cm as you bring your hand to the earpiece.

Am here after redmi note 10 pro died on me out of nowhere just after 2yrs. Took to the service center they could not identify the problem only told to replace a new motherboard, and thats how I landed on oppo reno 6 5g. So far am in love.. especially the charging speed and graphics, doesn't really heat up when playing CODM..only one issue that i wish anyone could assist;it seems not to turn off the screen off when you recieve a call,how do I enable that?

Just got my hands on a brand new device. Thought I could share my initial feedback. Compared to a Xiaomi Redmi Note 10, the Reno 6 5G is clearly superior in raw power nd graphics. However where it loses out to the cheap Redmi Note, is screen max brightness in direct sunlight and speaker quality. I am a business phone user and I use Microsoft 365 on my phone and the Oppo is the clear winner, taking just a second or so to open an Outlook message while the Redmi would take longer than 10 seconds to open Outlook. On a side note, the Redmi Note 10 is lighter and feels somewhat better in the hand (with the Nilkin case). Xiaomi loudspeaker is better as well.
The other advantage of Oppo is Android 13 and 5G, while the Redmi Note 10 is stuck on Android 12, after Xiaomi withdrew support for this particular model very late in the proceedings.

and you will be able to update to Color OS12 then 13.0 then 13.2same time
you just use VPN app you insalled
and change origin country to Netherland (Holland ) for example

I've been using this as my main phone for almost 2 years now since its release and it's still working so well. OS is upgradeable to Android 13 (ColorOS 13.1). At the minimum, I charge once a day with video streaming usage of 3 to 8 hrs daily. The games I've played the most are Nino Kuni, Stardew Valley, and Aveyond games. I mostly use my phone to read comics and watch videos on Youtube and Twitch. I just wish the charging cord/cable was more durable. My charging cord broke after a year of using it and I'm having a hard time finding a replacement official charging cord for SuperVOOC, so now I'm making do with whatever cord I find at the expense of the optimal charging speed.

I don't know why but my Reno 6 5g doesn't receive any software or security updates. It's still running on Android 12 and the security update is 5 September,2022. Can anybody plz explain me why?

This is my first ever oppo phone. Use for about 1 year. Overall experience, I can say the best phone I ever use apart from iphone 11 pro max.
What surprised me the most is that this phone can handle games like Genshin Impact without getting heated up compared to my ROG.
This phone is a gamers treasure.

if yes, may be the cable is not in a good condition
test another Oppo original cable with your mobile
if you need new cable for sure.. then buy new original oppo correct type cable to get vooc full speed
as no cable /or charger can give you Vooc speed BUT oppo original correct type charger and cable

are you suing original charger & cable?
