Oppo Reno7 series to hit the global market on February 4

Yordan, 24 January 2022

Oppo announced the Reno7 smartphones in late November, and the devices are finally coming to markets outside China. The first stop on their global journey will be India, as the local division scheduled a launch party for February 4.

We are going to see at least two phones, since the Oppo Reno7 Pro is the hero device in all the promo shots, and the vanilla Reno7 is likely going to come as an the affordable alternative, but we’re waiting to see whether the even cheaper Reno7 SE will also make it to India.

The Oppo Reno7 Pro was launched with a 50MP main camera and a Sony IMX766 sensor behind an f/1.8 lens. The selfie shooter, which is the same on the non-Pro, is 32MP with a first-in-the-world Sony IMX709 sensor that should give “DSLR-like portrait quality” and a feature called Bokeh Flair Portrait Video.

Other highlight specs of the Reno7 series are the quick 65W fast charging on the Pro and the 60W rate on the vanilla version. The line-up comes with AMOLED screens of 90Hz refresh rate and an under-display fingerprint scanner across the board.

A source suggested a price range of INR28,000-INR31,000 for the Oppo Reno7, while the Reno7 Pro could cost anywhere between INR41,000 and INR43,000. We have to wait ten more days until the launch to learn whether these prices are for real.
