Outdate processor, two years-back camera, wifiless, korean made like battery life, but ironicly the price is competing 838pro. What more can I say for this babe, it's just completly yesterday technology with tomorrow price ;P. Go fot it Palm, keep on losing your customers.

Simply said: PALM SUCKS! This phone is designed for those who don't care about technology, this is for an old guy that just need to browse internet for business while being paid by the office, who dont care about the knits and bolts like wi-fi etc. yeah ya rite, it's for an old guy that quality is #1 priority. It's like western-branded mercedes that doesnt have high-tech features that asian-branded infiniti (in this case HTC) has...

A friend of mine purchased a supposedly unlocked 750v and started running BB Connect for a week or so and then it just stopped working. Apparently if you are not on Vodafone SIM then it will locked itself after about 2 weeks. This has been confirmed with both Palm, Vodaone and RIM. However, the phone works but not BB Connect. So make sure you know what you are getting into before buying.

I have just got the 750 and loaded my contacts (8,800 of them). This makes the search (e.g. when writing e-mails) painfully slow - 5-10 seconds compared to one or less on a blackberry. It makes the device unusable. Does anyone know how to improve this (don't bother saying the obvious "have less contacts") or is this device not just made for this? Thanks

i've been using an unlocked 750v from Vodofone on Cingular and T-Mobile for over a month and it's been working great. i chose the 750v based on functionality; form is a bonus... exceptional call volume and clarity, push email works great and - as others have said - the palm tweaks enhance the one-handed capabilities.

this is the best PDA i've used, period.

Warning for potential buyers of Treo 750v.

Have purchased an unlocked Treo 750v in Indonesia last week. When used on another than the Vodafone affiliated network in Indonesia, PT Excelcomindo Pratama (in short XL), the phone is continuously bombarded by "Messages from the Network", constantly updating it with information about the base station I am using at any given time. This is the so called cell info display. This is not only very annoying, but it also renders the phone a crippled piece of equipment as these messages fire up the screen and thus drain the battery within one hour ! There is no way to disable this function (Palm admits this) and even when you totally disable all notifications for incoming messages, which means you won’t know if and when you receive other messages as well, the screen will still light up like a Christmas tree !!! Palm is aware of the problem but insists it does not have to solve this “provider and Windows Mobile 5.0 related issue” and that they have tested the phone on Vodsafone and Vodafone related networks worldwide, further suggesting that the phone will only work properly on those networks. Why then, they sell the Treo 750v unlocked ? Shame on you, Palm.

Had the 750v for 2 days and it was pretty good. I tried almost everything in the last 6 months, including SE M600i, P990i, Dopod 838 Pro and I must say that the Palm is the one that fits my need the best. My primary concern is Blackberry Connect and all of those work well. However, Palm did just a few more things to customise WM5 so that a few operations are much easier to use. For example, finding a contact telephone number is a pain in the 838 Pro if you don't slice out the keyboard and the stylus. In the 750v you just press the button and pick. The today screen has also been modified to include the BT icon for easy on/off. Things like that really made the 750v a better phone/PDA than the 838Pro. I don't mind so much the lack of WiFi or the lack of front camera. However, I do think that they can get a higher resolution screen but it is acceptable at it is.

The primary function of this phone is a PDA/phone/BB business machine. For those who are looking for 5MP camera, multimedia enhanced phone will be disappointed. if that's what they want then they should look elsewhere.

Looks great, works well but one thing's missing ,Wi-Fi support. if that's included this could be the perfect phone

For those who demand higher resolution, processor, camera and others, actually they are able to manufacure a perfect one but I always believe they will never want to produce a perfect phone because no one will change or udgrade their phone if it is already perfect. The important thing I think will be what do u really want to in a phone. To me it is essential that programmes must not hanged for PDA and fast. Sorry for camera lovers, u have to look else where than the palm. That is why they are meant for executive usage. Not camera man. But I agree wifi is essential.

I am use to Palm OS. When does Palm spec meet present day requiement like the O2 Trion or from the Manufacturer HTC TyTn? The Treo 680/750 profile - one hand operation is fast & desireable than O2 etc

I like my Treo 600/650 ease of operation. My friend is enjoying using the Dopod 838 WiFi surfing and calling for free at Hotspots. Can Treo 680 or new Treo "690" comes with Wi-Fi also for your loyal customer to enjoy this technology.

Palmone loyal customers, we are the elite, there's no doubt about it. Others only look to features and specs that mostly don't work.
We are here talking about using the phone in every moment of the day. A user friendly phone that does everything in a simple, quick and very customized way. I have tried all phones on earth and only Treo 650 and 750 satisfied my needs. After all, do you need a phone for its features or for it to serve your business and personal needs anytime and everywhere.
Palmone, keep the good work... Bravo. Zaki

I actually waited to buy my next PDA awaiting the 750 release....what a disappointment.
                                      a. 1.3 camera..( ok.. maybe not so important)
                                      b. No WIFI( In Singapore where they are going to WIMAX the island with many many hotspots, this is a major negative...)
                                      c. 3g with no camera in the front?
                                      d. USB sync cable still does not charge. With pervasiveness of USB, this should have been included. Saves travelers having to carry another charger around when the computer would suffice.

Palm engineers could have created something better than this, I guess they're very cautious with the competence and don't want to hurry.
This phone has no wifi, however, wifi cards will work under windows mobile. The problem is that they jut out a little bit from the card slot.
