According to Panasonic UK, the battery is actually 1800mAh with Micro SD Card Slot supporting a further 32GB. People should get the facts first before jumping to conclusions: http://www.panasonic.co.uk/html/en_GB/9010245/index.html

vito, 15 Apr 2012Talk time Up to 4 h what a pity....Like I said, wait for the review and see. Maybe it will do better than that. After all, under the specs sheet it says:''Disclaimer. We can not guarantee that the information on this page is 100% correct.''

Don't be fooled by ''only'' 1150 mAh battery. Knowing Panasonic, I'm sure they have a very good reason for it. Probably, they have done some major things with consumption efficiency. I've bought quite a few Panasonic products, and all of them were extremely reliable, not a single issue. Just wait for the review and see.

Anonymous, 30 Mar 2012Worst thing about this device is the 1150 mah battery. Why ... moreAnd the Best thing is that it is a 'Panasonic'. Love it simply. Yeah, battery should be enhanced but if they are conscious about weight, they may offer two batteries or an additional heavy battery for longer use.

In an instant I have now gone off this phone. The waterproof capability made it the one for me but now I realise it doesn't allow expandable memory via microusb I'm not interested. 8GB internal isn't enough for maps and music in my opinion.

Worst thing about this device is the 1150 mah battery. Why not a little thicker and 1700mah? And the back looks realy poor.

Really Nice to see Panasonic again. It is needed to insert Heavy batteries, Scratch-less Screens, Unbreakable Structure, Torch Light, Card Slot or Enhanced Inner Memory like 64 GB or even more in these smart models; and to introduce large variety of simple sets in all forms either folding or slider or touch or qwerty to match the users requirements at all level. GD55, A101, x200, x300, SA, MX Series were very good. Remove their faulty things like no memory card or other software support and insert them. Hope for the quality and durability for which the brand is known always. Welcome.

May be it isn't too late for Panasonic to fix serious drawbacks, discovered by potential users: lack of flash, radio, powerful battery etc. It's better to delay release rather than release such a "disabled" device to the market with extremely tough competition.

panasonic should invest more in the smartphones domain and build a more hitech phone

Imagine you are at a party with low lighting, or you are in a restaurant with candle lights, your phone's camera become useless unless there's a flash. I can also download the flash light app. and use as a torch (very useful feature).
