i love panasonic mobiles. they're just so right. i currently own a sa6 and i am very happy with it. and this one, the mx7, is one heck of a phone. the only thing missing on it was a memory card slot. that would have really made this into a mean machine.
i'm just so sorry pana has decided ti stop it's production of mobiles. i mean, i am sick of overpriced nokias and samsungs. also, the battery life is absolutely astonishing, not to mention the screen quality.

this could have better sales if it had mini SD slot and auto focus function on camera! i know panasonic can do it, i just dont know y dey didn't! Panasonic P505iS has memory expansion slot and was available way back last Nov 2003, and as far as i know it's the first mobile phone to have auto-focus function not to mention it has CCD sensor! mind you it has QVGA display already even way back then, so i don't really see d point y panasonic has sorted to come up with the V, SA & MX series that does not have an expansion for memory. (good work on the battery though) here's the link.

bad news (well at least for panasonic fans) for the time being but in the very near future (i hope this year) panasonic mobile will be much better! please see below..
panasonic has closed a number of their major plants that manufactures (2.5 G) GSM mobile handsets around the world and going forward to reorganized overseas mobile operations and concentrate mainly on 3G handsets with Linux based OS! as a result, (if i remember correctly) soon they will not be a series60 licensee anymore, meaning they may no longer make handsets based on symbian OS like the excellently designed X700 in the future.. reasons said were due to severe global competition. here's the full story:

Anyone else disappointed with the earpiece clarity on the phone? When I raise the volume clarity seems to dimish. Plus, if there is any background noise, it is really difficult to hear.

I would love a comment on the battery life. How long does it really last? I am looking for the longest lasting phone on the market. I hate recharging.

Akira....I called my service provider (Tmobile) and they also could not tell me why this was happening. Are you able to clear it or must you shut down the phone and restart?

I've got this phone and its awesome. But I have one problem that, perhaps, someone out there can help with. Whenever I get a voicemail or if I call my voicemail, I receive a message symbol in the shape of a closed envelope. I dont' get the typical "reel-tape" symbol. Once I get this symbol, the only way to get rid of it is to shut off the phone or to send an SMS. I use Tmobile in America which does not offically support the phone. Any thoughts on how to deal with this annoyance???? Thanks!!

Suprimo phone, except for it doesn't have external memory and the casual buttons design. It will be the best phone if it has external memory and it has siemens S75's button designo.

What's the real difference between this phone and SA7? This one is four grams heavier, is that all? Is the battery in this phone more lasting? No specs about that can be found either at panasonicmobile or gsmarena. And what about the construction of the phones, is the "sporty" SA7 more endurable in taking of hits/shocks? Please help, if you know. And shame on you panasonic (albeit the good new phones), in that you cannot offer understandable explanation anywhere about how the MX7 and SA7 differ from each other. You're just loosing one, would-have-been purchaser...

To the person below complaining about the earpiece.... I've found that because the screen's so long, people put their ear too low to the phone. It really takes some getting used to.

For those who are wondering, the only difference between the VS7 and MX7 is the battery life. MX7 has double the battery life of the VS7, but as a result, it is slightly thicker (The battery sticks out a little more). Also, the VS7 comes with a glossy, clear plastic face plate, while the MX7 has a kind of rubbery, mat finish (much of like the V300). features, everything is exactly the same.
