hey i just wanted too ask if the phone was a good buy.....cause my mum wants to buy a phone for me and her budget is rm1000 below.....i planned on buying the VS6 but i guess thts too expensive......anyways how much did u buy your panasonic VS3?? and im only 12 years old......i just wanted to use it until im like 16 or 18 years old.....

It's great phone but I also had some problems with InfraRed! Another problem is mp3! It doesn't play all files just some! And recordings shouldn't be limited!

Does anyone knows how to upload applications aka "EXE`s" to the phone?The handset manager is useless in performing this task.

Yeah, I've got the same problem trying to connect to the computer through an IRDA. I've searched a lot of forums on the internet and I've come to the conclusion that it's better to use the USB cable. The connection is much faster and stable.

hello , i am located in greece and i bought this phone from vodafone. from day 1 i face problems with the infrared connection.
i tried to connect to my laptop , it connects but when trying to user the panasonic handset manager it does not sync and does not connect properly ( connects and disconnects every 2 seconds ) any ideas about the infrared?

i wanna ask....a lot of people is getting problems with the sending of files ffrom the computer to the phone...izzit ture....or izzit need the cable than can send any size of files....???

I'm from Greece and I have faced -in fact, I'm still facing- quite a few problems. First of all, when i send SMSs in greek i'm usually charged with at least 2 messages, instead of 1, even though the text does not exceed the standard limit of 160 characters per SMS. Only if the text is very small, then i'm charged with only one message at the time. Secondly, the MP3s that i use for ringtones are not reproduced properly, that is, when they are played for the first time (when someone calls)the MP3 stops before it ends and it starts all over again and this is repeated 2 or 3 times before it is played wholly. Any solutions to these problems?

Got this phone for my wife about a month ago. paid 275$ for it(Very cheap in my country-Turkey, considering the high taxes). She is very pleased with it. Sound is good, picture is brilliant. Battery life is average considering its class and features. I use data cable to transfer data. Phone's own ringtones are loud but when you set mp3s as ringtones without changing the volume, it's really hard to hear.
So I take an mp3 and make it louder (using goldwave or nero soundtrax or audacity-there are lots of programs for it.) But here it is important that the sound mustn't burst.
Finally, I advise this phone.

When you upload your own ringtones, they aren't very loud, but loud enough to hear it in your hand. when it's in your pocket it's pretty difficult to hear. however, if you use the original ringtones that come with the phone, they are QUITE loud.

I've just got a Mobile Action 660 IR receiver and I have a lot of trouble connecting to the phone. I've got the Hanset Manager from Panasonic site but still it won't work. I can't take the pictures out of the phone!
The CD of the receiver has the driver, but the software dosen't include any Panasonic model.
Can you give me any advice?

I am from bulgaria and i get my VS3 only with 3 cover and screwdriver(without the USB cable), but i transfer MP3s larger than 1Mb
whit my IrDA adapter. It's not very fast but it's ok.

I was thinking of buying this phone because of its stylish and, most of all, JAPANESE design .. jst one problem ..
Are the ring volumes loud ? How about the ringtone's quality ? Is it clear ?
I'm using SE z600 now and its low ring volume sometimes really gets my nerve on.
