even though iv'e only owned this phone for a matter of weeks now.. i hate it. above all it is the sound quality of hearing calls/txts coming through and making calls in itself. i struggle to hear people and they struggle to hear me. battery life is very poor as is reception on this phone. often on 0-1 bars. i have to hover by a window to even pick up 2 bars. i also had this phone freeze up on me last week when a message came through. i went to open it to read it and it wouldn't let me, nor would it let me make a text. sure the problem was rectified with taking the battery out and putting it back in again, but i don't want to have to put up with that. a very small consolation is being able to get some of the freebie games/tones/screensavers ect from panasonic box.hopefully will be able to get shot of it on ebay for the same price bought it before all those naive people out there realise that this phone isn't all that after all & it looses its value/popularity.
having a top camera phone isn't all that when every other aspect of it is absolute sh*t.

Funny thing here is that while some people have mentioned a few minor positives about the screen along the lines of "OK screen" "good screen" no-one seems to truely understand how good the screen is this screen shows 15.7million more colours than the current high standard on a phone (262k colour screen) this phone has belive it or not the best screen available on a UK phone...
Most of the negative points on here are people who just dont know how to use the phone...
The battery life is awesome had my phone 2 weeks use my phone lots including playing sonic over and over and only charged it 3 times so far...
The build is better than most Sony Ericsson phones no creaks when you press buttons etc...
The phone lacks external memory which is why its (and if you had a brain this would be obvious) no good as an mp3 player and you cant receive or send games via Bluetooth as with most phones...
But overall one of the best phones on the market and for sure the best phone on the market for under £250

Had it for a few weeks. It's a lovely phone (much specs for less cash), but the building quality sucks with a big S. The battery cover is made of very thin plastic and unleash much too easy. There is too much friction in the swirlmechanism specially when it's closed. Sometimes when i opened the phone it felled off and had to start it up again. Software is absolutely not the quickiëst one. For me this phone may costs twice as much if Panasonic do someting about the total quality. Now it's rubbish with the latest technique.

Sleek Looks ( esp when nokia and others are going all out to fatten their size and weight both !)
Flip open
Excellent camera ( and at this cost !!)
Good pic resolution

Low sound
Non extendable memory
Low battery life ( esp if games & vdos are used)

Anyone know if their actually going to release a red version in the UK? I Much prefer the red to the black but it doesn't seem to be on sale anywhere :o( I'd hate to pay over the odd's for a rare red one on e-bay, only for them to start selling them shortly afterwards... Did e-mail Panasonic's 'customer services' a couple of weeks ago to ask, but they never replied...

can see a lot of these going back to the carphone sh@thouse. annoying that its a walking advert. call me stupid, but where the hell does the usb cable go, if you had one? never had so much trouble from any phone recieving bluetooth from the pc. typical cheapskate companies saving money by minusing the cable. carphone description says no for mp3 capabiity. when i try to send one, transfer failed comes up everytime. with the extra chimes etc, is a clear attempt to copy samsung effects. camera not as heroic as i hoped. unnessecarily large. damned if im paying for games via wap! get the feling its gonna fall apart easily. wish the mp3 thingy was simple, and games. not too bad all around. only saving grace for me, is that the message tone is a really loud fart. really, i recorded it after a sweet chilli chicken overdose. you can see where they skimped on the applications end. just like nokia, one more application justifies an entire new phone. thats why we all not too bothered with nokia anymore. best phone i seen for years was the samsung d500. sorry i sold it now. lol. cheers, the gimp

Why do these phones cost more on eBay than they do from the Carphone Warehouse (where you'll get a year's warranty)?
Does anyone know how the camera on this phone compares with the SE K/D 750i?

Dries - Minor points perhaps. And clearly I stand corrected on that one point. But like I said, while this is a good phone overall (demonstrated by my only pointing out "minor things"), it doesn't meet up to the standards that I expect - standards set by the likes of Nokia and Sony Ericsson, whose firmware is generally rock-solid and doesn't do any of the strange things I've experienced with this phone.

well iv'e had this phone for about a couple wks now.i haven't got round to obtaining a usb data cable for it yet, so will only mention the things that i do know about.
it sounded like a mobile too good to be true for the price and it is. don't get me wrong the camera quality is excellent, the video quality about average,(go's very blocky if you move it around too much)but the downside is only a minutes video.(most newish mobs out there have around a hr).
the one thing that really bugs me about this phone is the volume setting. i'm far from deaf but i can barely hear the video play back, cannot hear the phone ringing or texts coming through the majority of the time. especially so if the phone is 1. in my handbag and i'm in a street/shop, 2. in another room from me. it doesn't help that the speaker is on the back and the max volume setting only go's up to volume 4 which is still fairly quiet. i used to own the mortorola v500 before this and thought the volume on that was rubbish too but compared to this phone its a lot better. iv'e managed to download some mp3/polyphonic tunes that come out reasonably loud but even they are still quiet compared to other mobiles iv'e heard. it really is a shame because the main reason for having a mobile is for txting/calling. whats the point if u can't hear one coming through? the call quality is quite poor. upon recieving a call from my partner while in town the other day( i was in a reasonably quiet street at time), i barely heard his voice coming through, although he heard me okay) reception wise it is quite poor most of the time too but that could just be to do with where abouts i live-who knows?
battery life is just average, only that. like with any phone if u mess about videoing/downloading/playing games/taking pics.. the batt life will go pretty quickly.
going on the wap was another nightmare in itself trying to get to sites to download freebie tones- it often displayed pages too large(pc size) and links would not work or files too large to be downloaded when they did perfectly before on my v500. anyway after a lot of rigmarole and messing about i finally went to these sites via another way and it worked properly that time.
its very good of course the mobile itself coming in a unlocked state which saves a bit of money there if u wish to stick to your current network but without paying more than the cheapest option at carphone warehouse(vodafone).
the games, well..the footie one(who bothers with that?) and of course sonic.., great game in itself but with the right arrow button(needed to move sonic along) being so close to the end call button, your thumb(or mine does anyway) often presses this which annoying keeps suspending the game. my thumb isn't that big either!
the mobiles appearence itself isn't what one would call attractive. it doesn't help of course that the red version is very hard to obtain without going abroad/paying some stupidly ridicolus price.. and there are no current facias for it. at least the majority of the buttons are a little spaced out unlike some mobile phones where the buttons are so squashed together, to do one txt looks like it would take half the day.
so there u have it my opinions of the vs6..great for taking pics but little else really.

@Mr.Buy
You make a lot of trouble about minor things tbh.
e.g. "****includes randomly choosing to send photos as MMS messages rather than saving them"
that's because you push the center button, if you want to save it, you have to push the left button...
