I have 3 questions...

1. Ever since I got this phone, I've always been on Roaming. Is anyone else facing this problem? Should I call TMobile and ask about this?

2. Can I download themes for this phone? If so, where can I get them?

3. Can I change the colour of light that flashes on my phone when I close it, talk on it, charge it, etc?

      to DW and Andrew
i believe the problem is like DW said because the phone is "unlocked" thats why we are experiencing these kind of problems. i have the exact same problems as you guys and have tried with both T-Mobile AND Cingular (blank SMS and not seeing VM iconetc.) so it's probably because of the phone.

Just signed up with T-mobile and got the VS7. Nice looking phone and I liked everything about it. Except I am experiencing some problems with it, and I m not sure if its the phone itself or its the carrier. I seem to get a "blank txt message" whenever I check my voicemail. Also, when I do receive a VM, the phone doesn't indicate I have unheard messages so often times I have to check VM regularly to see if I've missed a message. My friends has also told me they have trouble reaching me most of the time since their call gets directed straight to my email. I called t-mobile and all they can tell me is that since my phone is "unlocked" (meaning not made for t-mobile), that's why I m experiencing this problems.

Does anyone else have similar problems? Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

First, to answer a couple questions I saw below:

Yes, the VS7 can send MMS messages. You will need to call T-Mobile and have them send you the settings. Its easy and it should work very well when completed. The VS7 can also use mp3's as ringers. You need to install the software that came with the phone (there is a CD if I am not mistaken) and then connect either via bluetooth or USB. After that, fiddle with the program that comes on the CD and it should set up quite nice. I have many mp3's as my ringers.

                Now, my question:

Anyone using T-Mobile with this phone find that this phone has some compatiblility issues with T-Mobile's system? For example, when I get a voicemail the voicemail icon will not show at all and instead it will show the sign for text messages without the text indicator at the bottom. Also, when I try and listen to my voicemail my phone will constantly be notified that I have a text message, again without the text indicator at the bottom, but there is no text message. Many times my phone will not allow me to dial out nor will it allow me to receive calls. Then there is the problem with it notifying me of voice mails a day after I receive them, without the voice mail icon of course. Anyone else have these problems, or similiar? If so, do you know of a solution?

Sorry if this was already asked. I was wondering if the VS7 can use mp3 as ringtones? If not, what format does it take? If it does use mp3, what bitrate and etc?
For all you VS7 owners, has that flip switch ever broke on you? Thanks

                            We had our chance
                            ===================

I think that the Western world had its chance to use Japanese mobile handsets, and not enough people wanted them: "Too big, too ugly...who cares about the brilliant qualit?". But this is slowly coming to an end. Most Japanese manufacturers have withdrawn back to Japan, or quit the mobile market completely.

                            Mitsubishi - gone.
                            Panasonic - FOMA & Softbank?
SHARP - Softbank, FOMA. (Slowly withrawing out of EU market.)
NEC - slowly withdrawing, FOMA & Softbank.
Toshiba - like Sharp, Softbank & FOMA; Never had a real foot in Europe besides the 902T & 803T.

Too sad really, I love my 903SH and it's sad that nothing else can really replace it. SE K800i is OK, but not good enough.

                            :(

                            Harlekkin

faceplates could be found in Japan. I remember seeing various types of faceplates for VS7 and I believe its in the NTTDoCoMo Website under the P902i or something. However, its all in Japanese.

very nice phone models by panasonic..d' best display so far at 16M colors..but lacks card slot..phone memory is too small..you can't extend...may i suggest to R&D of panasonic to add card slot feature in your phones. i think it's a great phone to have if it has bigger memory...more power!

Are there different types of colors of the VS7? I'm not talking about the plates or the cover. I'm talking about the celphone in general. Is there a black color instead of grey?
