loads of features on this phone. inluding gprs,ir,bluetooth,flash, loudspeaker. but i returned it to orange after testing it. the screen picture was rubbish belive it or not. supposed to be better than gd87. but i had a friend's gd87 and mine on camera mode and his screen clarity was way better than the gx70. also the flash,although bright, hardly made a differance to the clarity of the picture in subdude light.I was well upset.It was because of the better screen that i bought it. Also Orange have put a gastly shade of orange as a background colour in all the phones menus which you cannot change. the phone is too fiddly because of its size and the text messeging editor is below standard(does not compare to Nokia). the x70 seems like a prototype rather than a finished product. A shame because it really does look nice. my phone may be a dud. please try before you buy.

Wow, nothing in specs or in any comments about speakerphone. GD87 had built-in handsfree. This one should too, right? Hopefully it works a little better than GD87's though. Low Speaker was GD87's only flaw. Does X70 Improve on this?
Does external display show caller ID?

Antenna is really old fashioned! The clock is horrible too!! Little things like that makes the phone look crappy.

Thank you everyone for the info! I've contacted Panasonic on my country (Indonesia) and they confirmed me that X70 will be launched at January 2004! So probably this HP will be launched at S'pore on December 2003.. can't wait!!

what exactly does the loud speaker do?
can u record tune of radio then use as ringtone because of loudspeaker cause if u record sound from radio then listen to it is is well to queit

Yes, it can connect to the net via GPRS. This is for sure. The handset will come with a cool software on a CD and USB cable to everything easier.

To Mick: Are you sure about this? ^^ Because I read somewhere that this phone doesn't have modem and doesn't support EMS, so I was rather confused abt which one is true.

Sherly, the Panasonic X70 has an integrated modem for GPRS and you can use it as an external GPRS modem for my PC.

May I know whether this phone has an integrated modem for GPRS so I can use it as an external GPRS modem for my PC? If not, I have no choice but to take Z600 (but X70 is always the cell of my dream)

Donkey, the S.E. z1010 is for the "3" network. The Panasonic x70 is a pure GSM tri-band phone. You simply can't compare them.

To THUG: I've had some Sony Ericsson phones and all I can say is that they were not reliable at all and nowadays I don't like their designs either. Panasonic is a very reliable brand and they will show it again with the X70!
