ok this answers some of the questions i see since i last posted
the last time i checked, it cost S$498 with a 2 year contract
and for the one asking how ht eenglish n themes look here goes:
english works great! (i only can read english)
and the themes are working fine for me too, haven't tried self made ones, but should be just fine...
games can be downloaded, wad i did was i downloaded a gameboy emulator for phones, so now i can play .gbc and .gba games!!
last but not least, the amount of mp3s that u can store in the phone is not fixed...

I bought this phone just 1 day ago and am having problems with the external display. It doesn't work at all. Tried looking for hints in the user manual on how to "turn" it on but to no avail. Has anyone faced this problem before? How do I solve it? I'm planning to get it back to the dealer for warranty.

yes it can support more than 5mb of mp3 files and it can play mp3 too.

for those who bought the x800, is htere a limit to the mp3 size? like, the mitsubishi m900 can only hold up to 5mb. is this phone the same?

I ordered this phone today from eBay. It's not really avail in the US, so I hope it works!
I will ned it for the US and China.
I currently use a Treo 600. How is the calendar and email sync? Does it sync with Outlook (yuk) or open source such as Thunderbird out of the box?
Besides ogg for MP3, what other apps do folks recommend?

I just buy this phone, it is great... (I think they use same technology as nokia... weird thing is when I use Quick office and found out that the document on the phone is actually stored in c:\nokia.... what the heck is nokia doing in this phone anyway? :))
Very good "smart phone", just a little difficulties in installing its "phone suite" but overall it is a good phone. Highly recommended for quite cheap, slim, trendy and "smart" phone :)
Bad batteries (only last 1 day), anybody know where Panasonic sells its x800 battery? In Indonesia? In Singapore? In Jakarta, I asked the P-Square and it says batteries will arrive next month (to longggg...)
Any information if Panasonic do have and will sell other LONGER battery capacity for x800? (perhaps one that have more than just 720mAH...)

yeah, pic can shown on external display.
never compare v 3230 b4, but for me x800 ringtone soft compare v most models.

interesting about x800,and going to buy this phone but want ask some question.
1.x800 can show picture caller id in external display?
2.is the ringtone volume loud than nokia 3230?

speaker are so soft even adjusted to highest.as well as loudspeaker, i cant hear properly all the time.any software able to improve this?

yeah, my battery normally lasts for about a day... anyway, this phone rocks big time, i own one, lovin every moment of it... installed oggplay on the phone, got the mp3 ringtone goin, even mp3 sms too!! what the phone can actually do really depends on the 3rd party software that you are able to find, so plz share any goof software if found!! thanx!

Yes you can play MP3, provided you install a 3rd party app like Ultra MP3.
How long does the battery last? Mine lasted around one day only. Is that the norm?

can this phone play mp3 music? i think this phone is quite a bargain for three million rupiah in Indonesia
