Hi Desh and All,
Battery, now m using it normal already.....phone calls always with bluetooth listen to mp3 (music player) sometimes, sms, play games....... the most i get is 4 days. The 30 days battery life are only Philips Xenium line, as they mention in their website.

IrDA, I got no problem, tested with my notebook (IBM Thinkpad), with other phone brand, no issue.
First thing I did, as stated on the USB cable label, I install the software first before I tried anything. Works fine for me, transfer file, etc. But off course usb is faster.

SMS ing, it is ok for me. I think it depends on what u compare with. again ur expectation. Once m use to it....i can do sms very fast. phone response also fast.

My unit is just fine, as when i bought i asked the shop (bluetooh connection) to lemme choose. They lemme chose aomong four units that time. yes, there are some that looks like it's not fit very well between the gap. So I chose the best one for me.

Hey again, all depends on our expectation, this is good enough valued for money.

My comments, all instruction are in the user manual. unless we are testing/trying to do something outside/unusuall thing that are not stated in there.

eg. It say best and tested with 512MB SD Card. I tested and using 1GB, off course of consequences of a bit slow response accessing it.

I also tested, putting multiple sub folder of the mp3 songs. so i can group my songs as per folder. It works fine.

Currently I have about 700mb of data. consist of 500mb mp3, the rest are ringtones, pictures, video,etc....

I will try to get myself a SD card soon because i'm using SD card from a friend.

I set the default storage as SD card actually but seems like it still allow me to take video for 15 second only. A limited setting.

& Thanks for the comment on the photo adjustment.

I will like to search for optimum setting to get the best quality & function from this HP.

How come not playing the whole MP3 file?
Anyway to adjust?
--- again... not probelm with the Mp3 playing...of course u can play the "whole Mp3 file" ... go to Music - Track - memory card..for the ring tone...are u sure u want to play for "whole song" it is too long ?

Does anyone of know how to adjust the camera until the best view for normal mode?

go to Camera - picture quality - superfine + colour effects - off +

How long can i take for video recording?
---Setting - default storage - memory Card --- then can recording Unlimited ( depend on your memory card)

you guys prefer to useinfrared/bluetooth/USB to transfer files?
perfer USB cable ....

How frequent did you charge the battery?
----- Stand-by Up to 270 h ,Talk time Up to 4 h ....around 2-3 days....this phone just a normal phone...not a 30 days stand by Phone..so...what do u think ? it is ok for me ...

----=Desh ...why u using Infrared to transfer file to pc or to phone > u can use USB cable to trabfer file / song +++ for using USB cable pls...go to Connectivity - USB Features -- select USB drive...
2.)The keypad delay when sms.
----it is your PC problem ? i dont facing this problem at all...
3.)When the slider is closed, it seems not so fit. There is a gap which is loose in between upper & bottom side.
--- god --- are u first time using Slider phone ? this is the best already...compared with other slider phone ..

Desh -- it is only RM 1199 with all the good Features....if u dont like this phone just go and trade in to other phone like O2 ?

Hi All, as i posted comments when i just got the phone earlier. It is a good and value for money phone. It is a matter of our expectation.
I don't face all those problems at all, connection(usb/ir/btooth),sms, camera (pict/video),MP3,etc all working find for me.
As mentioned, I put in 1GB SDCard, it works find, off course slightly slower than the 512MB.
I even sync my phone with Lotus Notes.
I tested the Mobile Phone tools, it is a cool and powerful software.
The only lacking that I face is that, it won't sync all the Lotus Note version. It only support version 6 of L Notes.
I still think this is a good buy, with all the features you get.

And the wallpaper, how to adjust till the best fit to the whole screen? If stretch, the whole picture will zoom in very much.

yes not playing the whole mp3 just a few seconds only. either one for transfering file is fine and i am using sd card no problem for me yet

even with mp3 it is also very short. as for messaging just a small problem as we press any key the top right corner will show the letters & numbers just select the correct one. camera wise is good for me i find no problem for that.

For message wise:
I not sure, may be you can replace ringtone with MP3?

How you all find the keypad response during SMS? I found it is slow. Typed for L turn up K. Need slowly type only can get L.

How you all find the camera? Slow capturing?

Hi Da,

I just compared the quality of 2MP & 1.2MP.
It's about the same. How could it be?

For infrared, this HP can't be detected when connecting to PC.

Do you use any SD card?
I tried this without any additional card.

------u need to go to Connectivity and select USB Features and select USB drive...then wont be a problem anymore...

----Slow response when sms. Wrong alphebets turn up.
------go to SMS setting as well..i didnt feel slow response..so sad to heard that u feel dissapoint about thisa HP...for me..i love this phone...cheap and lots of function ! RM 1199 ..for me ..this is a good phone...pls dont compared with Nokia ...it is differ level ...

I was very very interested to this HP until i got it yesterday night.
But very sad, i feel dissapointing to this HP.
I do not know if anyone of you facing this also?

1.)Infra Red(Edisonsoft ES-620 USB infrared adapter) not detected.
2.)HP detection as USB drive very bad
3.)Data transfer error(tried for whole, can't even transfer a file)
4.)Camera resolution very bad(Can't believe it's 2MP, comparing to Nokia 1.2MP)
5.)Already got some1's contact number in the HP memory when start up.
6.)Slow response when sms. Wrong alphebets turn up.

u are right. bluetooth sending is limited to 350k only. the phone would not recognise any filed larger that this size in the sd card. well i guess this is a real bad side of this phone. other than this, 960 is a phone value for money.

Hi, I have read the manual from the philips' site. In that manual, it mentions about the bluetooth of 960 can just send files not larger than 350KB, would anybody try to prove this is right or not? thanks
