Unfortunately even when this phone is released it'll only be allowed to be sold in China and nowhere else unless imported. Good luck unless someone starts a petition to get Philips to bring the phone into their country.

This IS NOT a philips phone, they sold their mobile phone business to CEC (a chinese company) any new phone for the next few year will be just a REBADGE and not a Philips phone.

Well, nice phone, low specs, but if it is to be sold only in India or China, well, there is no real use of WiFis and 3Gs and stuff, is there? Since Philips sold its mobile handset business most of its phones are just about battery life. Still I must say I long the days philips phones were in Europe! The genie still works fine! Any way, I think that I may order the x-connet online! I looks Great!!! and about no wifi? Well even here in Europe it isn't that big-a-deal. I someone wants the full internet experience he/she probably already has a laptop, aint he? So why bother for wifi? I said that also about the iphone and as my friends who already bought it tell me, they can use it olny in their house, like instead of the Mac! PLEASE!!!

in philips phones just battery is interesting, no more.

Nice design, I like it, it's this type of phone that the users don't get bored off. I see people are already complaining about the low spec, though I think it is right in saying, this isn't a high-end smartphone, though it has touch-screen, it looks like a full touch-screen is aiming at the middle-class.

It does have WiFi. If you click on the photo and look at the left of the left photo you can see that WiFi is on.
