Just received my T-Mobile MDA, and I'm pretty happy with it. I use it mainly for WI-FI and phone. battery runs out after some hrs of use on Wi-Fi! perhaps you should have another battery at hand recharged (Dont cost much). The sliding keyboard looks fragile and i'm very worried if something goes wrong...like the ribbon cable.
Sometimes it slows down when using some applications but its ok, just restart...Another thing the Startup time is very slow it takes around a minute to start!! thats alot i think. My charger dont fit here so have to find a suitable adapter, currently charging through USB. I noticed that when i install applications and un-install them, the icons remain there! can somone help me about this how to remove completely ??

But overall its a very smart mobile with all in one functions, but looks fragile.
i'm looking for a Bluetooth GPS to connect with it too.

I have not tried it myself, but I think I remember it said in the manual, that if the 9100 was completely out of power, you could not charge from the usb. Mabye I remember wrong. Regards.

mnX1, thanks for the tip. I tried using a friend's SLVR charger, and while the plug fits, it doesn't charge. Could I possibly have a dead unit?

                  Please respond to this:
Most phones and devices that have WIFI, run out of battery a lot quicker once the WIFI turns on.
What is the battery life on Qtek 9100 when u use the WIFI?!
is it worth it to get this phone only because it has WIFI?
Can u use it for a day without charging the unit!?
                  Thanks

Hi, im lookin to buy this phone in a few weeks from T-mobile. One problem that i have been hearing is concerning the sliding QWERTY keyboard. Has anyone had any problems what so ever with the keyboard being unstable or somewhat unreliable after using it frequently or maybe after dropping it a couple times? If any of you users could help me or give me some advide i would really appriciate it. Thanks

Hi Fred, in reference to your question, you can delete one no. at a time maintain the stylus over the no. then appear a new menu it said Delete, Send text Message, Call, so select Delete and that it. Regards.

                      atte Marcelo.

I just received this phone as a gift from an associate in Asia. Unfortunately, the included AC adapter won't fit the power sockets over here in Canada. I did a quick search and some reviews mention being able to charge the phone with the USB cable. I tried it, but no dice. Can anyone please help me out?

You cant just say dont by one because you have had problems you have not even said what network you where using them on or where you have brought it from. i sell about 10-15 of these a week since december and have only had 2 back and they got exchanged within 2 days. I bet you were not even using it properly like closing files after use, using a memery card and actually reading the manual. and if it is on O2 that will b y it does not work. (and yes you can edit word, powerpoint and excel files)

The first three months of owning it, I had a relation of love & hate with it. Sometimes i was ready to throw it from a window from the 5th floor. Once, for just one working day I had to restart it 16 times. After that, and after I saw that in fact I had no phone at all (when you restart it you don't know if someone calls you or not.You learn it only if your boss calls all the time and can't find you because he thinks that you avoid him :-))
I think first of all, putting a processor with only 200Mhz it was a huge mistake.
So, finally I succeed to sell it to a guy to whom I didn't gave my phone numbers.
So, I'm expevting the new 9600 or HTC Tytn, which I hope doesn't have the same problems.

Don't buy one! What more can I say. Having purchased a 9100 when they first came out, mine has spent more time being repaired than being used. I purchased a I-Mate K-Jam as a direct replacement(again made by HTC) and guess what, this has also spent more of its life being repaired than used. I still currently waiting for both units to be repaired!!! 6 weeks and counting....

I have this phone for T mobile and my start menu does not have the "settings" option located in it. How do i access the settings another way? The t mobiel theme is so ugly and I cant change any of the other settings either! HElp!
