Razer ceases technical support for Nextbit Robin
This January, gaming hardware company Razer acquired Nextbit, the company behind the phone with a successful Kickstarter campaign: the Robin. The phone’s standout feature was that it could store apps and their information on Netbit’s cloud service. When the handset ran out of internal storage, it would make room by deleting less-frequently used apps and photos and they’d load right back up if you needed them.
Well, the new parent company, Razer, today has announced that it is no longer going to support warranty claims or offer technical support over the phone for the Nextbit Robin. Customers who have existing RMAs or ongoing warranty issues with the Robin will be contacted via email where the claims will be honored to their completion.
Effective August 1st 2017, we’ve shut down support for Robin. You can still refer to our online self-help: https://t.co/ZwXZGM04sJ

To clear up some confusion: although we're ending customer support, we will continue software updates until Feb '18 as planned

Finally, the Nextbit Robin’s promise for software support will remain intact. Firmware updates for the Nexbit Robin will also be supported all the way through February 2018. If you do find yourself in need of support, you can refer to Nextbit’s online self-help at help.nextbit.com
What is next for Razer on the smartphone front? Do you have interest in some kind of gaming or high-end smartphone from Razer?
Thanks for the tip!
