Everybody had different charging ports too. then came usb for everybody except apple with their lightning port (and the older thing), and then they probably removed the jack so they could charge royalties for things like selfie sticks, headphones etc. android does the same thing now, probably to push bluetooth headsets, or simply having more space for other hardware, a slimmer design, better waterproofing etc.. isnt a problem since apple is doing it already anyway and as a result more bluetooth devices are in use now anyway. none of these were factors in sony ericsson time, so its just coincidence, but they arent a factor to the headphone jack disappearance now

the phone has everything to be a good handheld, except good and convenient controls and modern titles that arent microtransaction shit. I doubt this will gain enough momentum for development of more than a handful of exclusives. a clever design with actual buttons (like a psp) that extend to the side and can be folded in and out would make all the difference, and it would be huge, because everybody would want to play classic ps2 games with it on the go. Carrying a bluetooth controller with you would be inconvenient, and touchscreen controls are only somewhat acceptable for one 3d genre, and thats shooters (I remember modern combat 2 on ios played really really well, but it takes some getting used to and isnt for everyone). besides that its a good concept for a handheld. i actually like the design, 120hz is great, provided someone wants to pay 750$ to play cheap shooters on a touch screen, the size is quite right and tons of endurance

Not only looks abd but is slippery as hell.
No screen protector is good for that.
And when you put one you cant use cover because it will push your screen protector.
Also super expensive.
But phone like this is GLAMOROUS.

Huge battery and top notch end specs beyond belief.
Buy Iphone X for 1300 plus 150 for that charger when you are not happy.
2700 mAh bettery will die in one hour maybe less on gaming

Much better than that overpriced Note 8 with curved screen or that slowly charging iphone X with 150 eur charger which is not included in box. Apple is kind of joke company.
This is the true beatst on the phone market.

Look at the Sony Ericsson W-series of phones, all of them apart from the Spiro and W995 (maybe more but can't be asked checking) doesn't have a 3.5 mm headphone jack and you need to use proprietary headphones.

Gaming S.phone but! Why not Nvidia clone!? No 3.5mm jack headphones (when it has about 8mm thickness) no aptX HD... Biggest disappointments

now....nobody gave comment on design of phone&*() like xperia square shape.....everybody happy with sony 's copied design by razer...if this is xperia phone....every single samsung and apple (paid) fan comment on square shape....blah blah..

For no 3.5mm headphone jack there should be have been aptX or aptXHD for Bluetooth headphones, Bluetooth speakers and for bluetooth car audio, all 3 which I use

The aspect ratio of the display was also on purpose, If you people are familiar, 16:9 ratio is the sweetspot for PC gaming and this will make it look natural for gamers. With this they maximized the bezels by using front facing stereo speakers (I do hope they didn't use foam because this was one of the issues of Google Pixel). We have yet to see it's actual use in the market. let's just hope the screen doesn't pop out or it's battery explode.

There are alot of things people dont understand about this phone in terms of design and what makes it a "gaming phone." Design wise, by making the phone a block razer was able to maximize the surface area of the phone that's why they were able to fit a 4k battery in it. Now what makes it a "gaming phone"? well every flagship phone can be considered a gaming worth phone but what separates it to other flagship phones is the display and the technology behind the display. 120Hz doesnt mean much but because of "Ultramotion Technology" the application of the refresh rate of the screen is properly implemented in games (Refer to Gsync and Freesync Gaming monitors). Winning is everything in gaming, that is why Ultramotion is the real highlight of the Razer Phone and not the 8GB RAM or it's 4K Battery.
