Our Realme 14 Pro+ battery life results are now ready

Our Realme 14 Pro+ review is a work in progress, but we are done testing its battery life, so we thought of sharing the results with you while you wait for the full review.

The Realme 14 Pro+ is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC, runs Android 15-based Realme UI 6.0 out of the box, and has a 6,000 mAh Si/C battery under the hood with 80W charging support. Its predecessor, the Realme 13 Pro+, had the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip at the helm and packed a 5,200 mAh cell.

With a bigger battery, one would expect the Realme 14 Pro+ to have better endurance than its predecessor, but that's not the case. While the Realme 13 Pro+ achieved an Active Use Score of 13:39h in our battery tests, the Realme 14 Pro+ only managed 9:53h.

That's even worse than the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ global model, which has the same processor but a smaller battery (5,110 mAh). It has an Active Use Score of 10:40h. The biggest difference in the battery performance of the Realme 13 Pro+ and Realme 14 Pro+ is in the call runtime: 34:29h vs. 22:03h.

It must be admitted that it is strange to have such poor battery life with such a low-energy SoC with a 6000 mAh battery while Realme has accustomed us to much better with 5000-5200 mAh
