If you deny this very core base then there's no reason having this argument. Because evetybody knows amoled produces boosted colours. Plus isn't the only one using amoled displays.

Anonymous, 22 Oct 2018Ltps alone definitely does not produce better colours. What... morePlease don't reply by reading my single message but all my related messages - my entire conversation. I have talked about Asus before. Now, as far as the life span of display is concerned the equation is IPS LCD > LTPS = AMOLED. But when color accuracy is concerned, the equation is AMOLED > IPS LCD > LTPS. The hidden fact is that there are lot of varieties in each of these. Not all the Samsung AMOLED panels are same. Samsung's Galaxy Note 9, S9 and S9 plus uses superior quality AMOLED panels compared to their other variants. My stated equations above are applicable only for the superior quality panels. Moreover, there is a lot of difference between flagships and mid- rangers. Since display is the important part which appeals a mobile device, there should be no compromises even on mid-rangers. Everyone has got their own version of things in life. I have mine. Things always change with time. Good Luck.

Anonymous, 21 Oct 2018Though I'm not interested in arguing, I shall reply in shor... moreLtps alone definitely does not produce better colours. What ltps does is it is designed to produce less heat. However it is certain that amoled produces better colours including deeper blacks. For lcds it is hard to get deep black. Amoled doesn't get too bright like LCDs and whites looks yellow or red tint depending on the factory colour calibration. But every other colours looks better on amoled however amoled also tend to deteriorate faster than LCDs overtime.

You may check GSMarena reviews for more clarification about the blue tint. The thing is that, you very well know about what I'm talking and you do not want to give up. Anyhow, I should appreciate your loyalty towards Nokia. According to statistics mobile sales have gone down in 2017 because of market saturation. Now, companies can survive only if they deliver competing products with assured quality. As I've already said, manufacturers should think about adding that Rs. 1000 to Rs. 24000 to achieve that assured quality. The equation is simple: "You can't sell a bad product twice". Good Luck.

I've said that LTPS displays aren't good enough. There are plenty of things to talk about which can't be dealt here. That's the reason why I told that I am writing for people who can take my words and for Nokia and other manufacturers. They can understand much better than anyone else, since they know about what they are doing. Every technical information is available in the WWW for your reference. As you said, if I get a product from a wrong batch, it follows that a batch is substandard and which implies that the fault is not with me. The corresponding manufacturer should take care of that. May I know the list of phones you've with good LTPS display.

Any suggestions for this...

Anonymous, 19 Oct 2018Hi, when Nokia 7 Plus was about to release, I had much expe... moreI find the display of Nokia 7 Plus pretty good, with no blue tint. I think you experienced a bad batch. Also their is nothing as the best display be it AMOLED, OLED, LCD, LTPS displays. All these technologies have their own pros and cons. I have phones with LTPS displays which are vastly superior in color rendering than a phone with AMOLED display. And then I have another phone with OLED display which produces ultra deep blacks which my another phone LCD phone cannot reproduce.
Long story short, just don't compare display by their manufacturing technology.

If who are interested to know about how a good IPS Display would look like, please check the device Asus Zenfone 3 ZE520KL. Though it is old, it is Gold. It is neither a LTPS nor a AMOLED, but, is costlier than LTPS and cheaper than AMOLED. This phone is a perfect example as to how a mobile should be. By saying, "All that glitters are not Gold", some really misses the Real Gold, since Real Gold also glitters. Good Luck.
