Anonymous, 04 May 2020Is there any over heating issue in day to day use? Is re... morein day to day uses no.
slight or light games it feels warm to the touch but not conserning
in charging or heavy gaming "Ark mobile" it gets warm at max 45 degrees celsius, not that much hot to make me worried.
redmi note 8 pro definetly felt hotter to the touch that realme 6.
      the camera is slightly depressing.
the 90Hz feels so smooth at the begining then you begin to feel like its normal "your eyes adapt" but every other device now feel like its lagging to me including latest Iphones.
definetly recomend for gaming and scrolling.
for photography the realme 5 pro is better "better SONY sensor" so the redmi note 9s/pro is not good for photography either "GW1 instead of GW2".
battery life is decent but not for heavy gaming for more than 5 hours, but if you use it moderatly then it can easly pass a full day, charging is increadbly fast "3% every minute from 0 to 90 and the last 10% lasts for 10/15 minutes "full charge in less than an hour".

In India we get the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant @ INR 17K. A plastic built phone having a not so bright 90 Hz display and a processor good for general tasks but not for sustained gaming performance due to lack of proper thermal management.

Six months back I bought the Meizu 16th (Meizu 16 in China ) @ INR 17K brand new from Amazon India. Sold my Meizu India it is fully Google certified with Google PlayStore pre-installed. Specs are Snapdragon 845, 8 gigs of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 gigs of UFS 2.1 internal storage. The metal chassis of 16th is billeted from a single aluminium block with a dedicated copper heat-pipe soaking heat from SD845. Twin layer of copper & graphite sheets on both sides of the internal metal frame as well as the glass backs. A level of refinement & thermal management inside the phone that only flagships get. In raw and sustained performance the Meizu 16th will obliterate the Realme 6, 6 Pro & also all Xiaomi Redmi Note clans.

I have not even started speaking of the beautiful no notch 6 inch Samsung AMOLED display and exemplary build quality. Also those awesome stereo speakers. Best looker and best design aesthetics of all flagship phones I owned. All for the same price of a Realme 6. If you have seen the smartphone industry as long as I have seen, you will never buy a mid-range phone ever. Rather you will get yourself a two year old flagship. Why? Because a flagship is built like a flagship, it performs like a flagships and kills any mid-ranger for the next 5 years for the same price of any new mid-ranger.

Asus 5z before COVID-19 pandemic was available for INR 19K at Flipkart. Using a credit card one can have it for INR 17.5. SD845 + 8 gigs of LPDDR4x RAM + 256 UFS 2.1 internal storage. Dual hybrid sim with option for microSD memory expansion. The 5z will kill anything within INR 20K segment and is a much better alternative to Pocofone F1.

Audio jack sound quality and headphone drive capibilty is much superior than any Samsung, Huwaei or Onplus flagships. The only reason why Meizu phones does not sell well is due to its lack of software support. At least globally don't expect any Android version upgrades. However the version it comes loaded with is very clean and performs admirably. I find no hiccups on software part on my 16th till now.

Due to thermal throttling performance of your game drastically falls resulting is choppy frame rates which can be quite disturbing or unplayable.

You see a great AnTuTu scores or for that matter any synthetic benchmarks does not always indicate great sustained gaming performance. But it is a good indicator & great marketing tool. Just by looking at the tear-downs I find the Redmi Note 8 Pro should handle the G90T better, due to its much bigger heat-sinks than RealMe 6.

As of 2020, personally even if I adore the specs of G90T I steer clear out of it. A SoC is much greater than just synthetic benchmarks and the much older 12 nm fabrication process used in G90T is the root cause. That's why it is so cheap as they are using a 2 year old fab process first seen in their Helio P60 in 2018. If Mediatek have built the G90T on a 8nm node, it would have killed the Snapdragon 730G on birth.

I better go for Snapdragon 720G or 730G devices built on much efficient 8 nm fab process resulting in much less heat and battery drain. That's the reason why Realme 6 Pro and latest Redmi Note 9 Pro comes with Snapdragons.

And why?I prefer realme 6, the specs speaks for itself, the antutu score of realme 6 outscores the realme 5 pro even though the 5 pro has snapdraon processor compared to a mediatek g90t of the realme 6, you'll also get a 90hz screen refresh rate which is really good for gaming, supports fast charging and has a 30w charger, also good for gaming, the only downside is when you play games they say it gets hot like 60 degrees celcius

And even if they do provide those drivers they are not as optimized as previous ones.

This is one side of the coin.

Qualcomm garner monopoly is smartphone SoC business. They are considered the best and they decide the unit price which smartphone manufacturers need to pay.

In case of Mediatek the manufacturers demand their chipsets at far lesser price or else they will go for Qualcomm. Hence they provide good performance with old fab process. Take Helio G90T as an example. Hence they have much less money left to perform proper software updates.

This is the story of the other side of the coin.

In the end neither Mediatek nor the smartphone manufacturers are to blame fully. It is Qualcomm monopoly.

The phone will lag and stutter after few round of COD.
1st few round is good and smooth but once the moment the players are gathered and shooting the stuttering and lag is severe.. no doubt is all good but once come to heavy gaming it start to lag
