With tech editors of Anandtech website revealing how Mediatek is currently cheating on benchmark scores, it is of no surprise PCMark and 3DMark have recently de-registered more than 50 current devices from over 25 different phone manufacturers running on Mediatek chipsets. This includes any phone running with P20, P60, P70, P65, G70, G80, P90, G90 and G90T. This a major blow for Mediatek and very well end up in lawsuit. Below is the current statement from UL, the developers of the PCMark and 3DMark:
Using hidden mechanisms to detect benchmarking apps by name and make app-specific performance optimizations is not an "accepted industry standard." It is, in fact, the very opposite of the accepted standard.
Likewise, benchmark scores based on hidden app-specific optimizations and settings that are enabled by default and not available to the user do not accurately reflect a device's true performance in everyday use.
Simply put, a device must run a benchmark as if it was any other application. Performance gains must come from reacting to the nature of the workloads in the test rather than the name of the app itself.
As it has with similar cases in the past, we hope this delisting will help persuade MediaTek to change its approach and join the rest of the industry in adopting benchmarking best practices.

Christian, 04 Apr 2020Is this available in the USA?I don't think officially. However you can find one on Newegg.com. In Malaysia this phone with the 4gb / 64gb variant is selling at RM699 or $160 which is a tremendous value. For $160 you get a headphone jack, IR blaster, 5000mah battery, processor comparable to Snapdragon 845. Only the cameras are not comparable with the $1400 flagships but its more than capable compared to $160 phones from 5 years back.

Hello, I need new phone and I am not sure which one to get. Realme 6, Realme XT or Redmi 8 pro or something else for around 200 EUR. Must have: NFC, decent cameras, good screen, good battery life, android 10. I don`t play games.

Good phone with lot of features
After 15 days of use
I found these issues
1) Pubg freezes and doesn't return to normal stage , i have to restart the game again
2) Camera zoom quality is very bad
3) There is lot of noice in images
4) Scheduled eye care for sometime and then disabled it , but screen brightness changes automatically to eye care at that time even if i turn off scheduled eyecare
No option to turn it off
5) Google chrome freezes almost everytime
6) fingerprint scanner almost gives error
7)It doesn't feel like 6GB RAM at all
Overall average phone
I bought before the lockdown,so there is no option than to stuck with it 😂

realme 6 is hot when gaming. Don't give misleading information and cheat people to buy this phone.

Its up to you whether you want to buy this phone or not. But base on my experience for the past 2 weeks having this phone, this phone was a great phone for 250$ price the battery can last for 16 hours if you just browsing, watching YouTube, and open Instagram. And the chipset was great too this helio G90T was powerfull processor for PUBG it can run smooth-extreme or HDR-Ultra with slight stutter/framedrops. So my point is, is up to you if you want to buy this phone or just wait/save for more better flagship like Huawei nova 5t for a better performance.
