I have to move slightly the phone to use the in display fingerprint reader when the screen is off. And i cant use it if the fingerprint icon isn't showing.. Is that normal?

Danish Badass, 18 Dec 2021Can anyone suggest a better phone in this price range? If you go to the specs page of this Realme 8 and scroll down, you can see other phones similarly priced. There is the S21, Galaxy M52, A72, S20 FE, Oneplus Nord 2 and Xiaomi 11T. If you want Realme 8 for its compact body, I recommend S21. Otherwise, Nord 2 and 11T have very fast charging, S20 FE, Nord 2 and 11T very fast and good cameras. Although I wouldn't recommend Nord 2 (battery explosion issues) and 11T (Xiaomi software preferences), however they do have glass backs if that's what you prefer.

Is there screen retention or Amoled burn in on your Realme 8 devices? I'm worried because I plan to use this phone for more than 3 years.

I have realme 8 and I have been facing puzzling problem. I have 5ghz wifi in home which can reach 90mbps on oneplus 6. The problem is in realme 8 wifi speed only reach up to 50mbps at same wifi oneplus is connected. At first I thought 50mbps was the limit of realme 8. But when I did the test at the office, the wifi speed reached 122mbps showing 50 mbps wasnot it's limit. Any ideas anyone?

Me buy Relme 8 (8/128) on firsts week January 2022
Amazing phone
1. fingger print fast,
2. amoled great at outdoor, although just 60hz screen is good quality (no flickering)
3. charging fast about 50 min (15% - 100%),
4. +9 hour screen on time (full charge until 10% batt),
5. camera good after update
6. slim & light phone with 5000mah battery

Hello guys. I bought this phone for my grandmother. The phone is great, the battery is nice, the always on display feature is good, the super amoled display is nice too. The storage and 6GB RAM are more than enough. The only thing that I can call total garbage about this phone is the flashlight. So basically photos with flashlight are total, I repeat total garbage ! I have Samsung J7 Pro 2017, and the difference is humongous !! Selfie camera is ok. Fingerprint scanner is nice and fast, no issues there. Really disappointed for the flashlight as I do not consider that piece of hardware expensive but they decided to cut there,oh well. Overall the phone is good enough for the price,but keep in mind that the flashlight is not just bad or 50/50, its really bad.

Last few days i bought it for my sister ,
It is totally good performance amazing amoled display satisfy screen and the processor supports 40fps in pubg mobile i used file to 60fps and no lag great performance most of the game 60fps very enjoyable and great battery life . I have to say if you buy it you will save at least more 200 dolar than samsung a52s s shit .
Even this one is the best realme‘s product
Really enjoy the hdr and max bright ness very clear to the screen.
An amazing phone .
Ram 6 and 128 GB if you buy you will not regreat

Any had issues with colors of Amoled o er time? In another non-samsung i own after ~2 years i started having half upper screen more bluish... Just wondering.
