The stupid "DARE TO LEAP" slogan keeps many of us from buying these types of phones. Realme should seriously think about stopping putting this slogan on the back. No one wants words they don't identify with on a phone people pay with they money.

I've had this phone for 2 days, and it's enough to want my money back. I got it because of it size (not as big as the Redmi note 10 pro), good battery, nice camera... Overall, a versatile device.
But the thing is that I love taking videos so I need them to sound and look good enough, and this is not the case. While the image is awesome, the sound is horrible due to the aggresive noise cancelling (that also happened in the Realme 7 Pro). Forget about trying to catch background sounds like birds singing, ambient music, etc. Same with whatsapp voice notes, don't even try recording a low sound because the software will get rid of it.
I just can't wait X months for an update on this (that may never come). And i won't void the warranty by installing mods to solve it, since it may brick the phone. When you spend almost 300€ for a new device, you spect to get a minimum sound quality in your videos, which is not the case

to be honest realme narzo 30 pro is better than realme 8 pro

To put it simply , Between Cameras of 6 pro , 8 , 7 pros & Redmi note 9 , 10 PMaxes , i think 6 pro had versatile setup with good clarity , yes, primary cam. has noise issues ( If you pixel peep ) but contrast , image quality is at par with 7 pro & 8 pro , 7 pro had lesser noise hence it was an improvement over 6 pro & 8 pro has even lesser , but Note10PMax 12mp is far superior of these , there 108mp mode is not bad & similar to 8 pro , the 3x looseless zoom provides more zoom in 8 pro over note10pmax but its achieved by stacking so its marginal improvement to provide 3x zoom , it cant replace good optical zoom cams. of 2x or 2.5x or 3x , but many telephotos of mobiles are average with noise ( Redmi k20 Pro etc) & hence realme 8 pro is superior to those 8mp 2x , 3x telephoto attempts. ( Madhav sheth was bragging about this )
Night mode of 8 pro is unexpected , 6 pro , 7 pro had better night modes ( F/1.8 vs f/1.9 ) , & in may areas note10pMax night mode is better , so the only redemption realme has is 3x zoom , & 50W. Charging & better UI.

Anonymous - Yes , only difference between Realme 8 Pro & Note 10 Pro max is 3x better zoom & marginally better 108mp photos , rest all note10 ProMax is better

A21s, 31 Mar 2021man A71 380 euro phone doesn't even have stereo speake... morethats nice, yes I agree it can since it runs on SD 730 and also the price drop is maybe because of competitors growing ahead. But I noticed budget-midrange level phone is struggling in genshin impact coz of how it uses so much of the processing and gpu power of these phones when in high settings so it should be set in mid settings or low. Anyway here in South East Asia there are more who prefer midrange phones rather than flagship, that's why people prefer buying xiaomi or realme brands rather than apple or samsung because its much cheaper here it wont hurt their budget and specs wise, xiaomi and realme midrangers has much to offer rather than samsung midrange devices.

Big disappointment. Redmi Note 10 is similar in size to this one and has stereo speakers. Why doesn't the Realme 8 Pro have them? Why does it seem like a step down from the 7 Pro? The 108 Megapixel tag masks an average phone.

@Whatswrong - The 3x Zoom has improved imaging over 108Mp plain camera shots , so 3x zoom is done by stacking , AI & Upscaling so you have better image then plain 108Mp. thats what you are seeing but this stacking & process softens the image , produce wierd details in complex areas etc. But for 3x zoom from 108Mp camera its a really good effort from realme & can give 8Mp 3x zoom a run (Like GSMArena said in review ) , but 12mp & larger zoom sensors blow it.

Today I tested this phone in two different shops. I took a x10 HDR zoom photo with the normal camera (normal shoot). Then I also took a picture with HDR at 108 Megapixels: The zoomed picture with the normal camera (option in camera app) has more zoom than the one taken with the 108 Megapixel camera if you zoom in this of 108. What is wrong here? According to GSMArena and the advertising of this Brand, it has x3 zoom from 108 Megapixels with hardly any loss of image ("3x lossless zoom")? Someboy test this too?

ok so i don't mind the 60 Hz panel, the 720g(actually these make it power efficient). Also in a video by gupta information systems (https://youtu.be/AOgtOtN2hEs) the phone performs better than the IP53 rated redmi note 10 pro max.
i want to go for this phone since in the same video you can see how easily the redmi broke even when dropped from pocket height, and how it broke when very low pressure was applied to it (the host wasn't even trying). the realme survived even the 6ft drop and full force bend test. i plan to use it with no case. plus it's lighter and more compact (while still packing great features).
so the only 2 points i am doubtful of are the speaker (is it good enough?) and whether the camera will be improved with updates in a few weeks/months (especially for low light quality and time taken to capture in said low light). can somebody talk about these 2 pts?
