According to recent rumors, the Realme 9 Pro and Pro+ will have a Snapdragon 870 chipset and a 120 Hz AMOLED display. Realme has used the 870 chip in the GT Neo2 and GT Explorer Master. The Realme 8 Pro settled for a mid-series Snapdragon chipset since its focus was on the camera.

That last part will remain true for the new models as Realme is expected to stick with the 108 MP sensor for the main module. By the way, the chipset choice means that the two Pro models will have 5G connectivity. The vanilla Realme 9 may stick with 4G, however. The Realme number series previously used MediaTek chips for the 5G models.
