Realme Band 2 goes official with a bigger screen, new design
The Realme Band announced last March got a successor today as the young brand unveiled the Realme Band 2 with a bigger screen, bigger battery, and a design reminiscent of the Honor Band 6.
The Realme Band 2 looks more like a smartwatch than a classic fitness band and packs a 1.4" color touchscreen of 320x167-pixel resolution with a peak brightness of 500 nits. It supports over 50 watchfaces, and you also have the option to create a custom one by uploading a picture from your connected smartphone.

The standard set of health and fitness features we had on the OG Realme Band are present on the Band 2 as well. We get heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, automatic step counter, water drink reminder, and sedentary reminder.
What's new this time is the addition of stress measurement, women's health tracking, and an SpO2 sensor to measure blood-oxygen levels.
The Band 2 also supports 90 sports modes as opposed to the nine workout modes the first-gen Band came with. However, initially, the Band 2 will only track 14 activities, including Yoga, Outdoor/Indoor Walk, Outdoor/Indoor Run, Cricket, Basketball, Pool Swimming, and Football. The support for the rest will be added through an OTA later.
The Realme Band 2 also comes with Smart AIoT Control - a feature we've already seen on Realme's smartwatches, such as the Watch 2 Pro. It allows you to control the company's AIoT products right from your wrist without having to reach for your smartphone, provided it's linked to the AIoT devices.
The rest of the Realme Band 2's highlights include music control, camera control, weather forecast, alarms, and 50-meter water resistance.
The Realme Band 2 ships with a 204 mAh battery, advertised to offer up to 12 days of endurance. The smartband supports Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity and uses Goodix's Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth LE) SoC, which "enables ultra-low-power operation with outstanding radio performance" and offers "reliable high-speed connectivity."
The Band 2 works with devices running Android 5.1+/iOS 11+ and you can manage it with the Realme Link app. The wearable weighs 27.3 grams and comes in a single Space Grey color, but you do get multiple color options for the straps, with one of them seemingly made of leather.
The Realme Band 2 is priced at RM169 ($40/€35) and will go on sale in Malaysia through Lazada starting September 20 with a special launch day price of RM139 ($35/€30). There's no word on its availability in other markets, though.

How come Realme is not on the band 16 by now? 1.5 years between subsequent releases of band 1 and band 2, my god the blasphemy here. They went from Realme 1 to Realme 5 within 1.5 years, so I dunno what's keeping them here. /s
