Realme Band unveiled with HR monitoring, notifications and 10-day battery life

Realme is delving deeper into the mobile accessory business with its first smart band. The Ralme Band features a 0.96” color display with 80 x 160px resolution. It’s large enough to fit 64 letters on the screen and can show notifications longer than that – you can use the touch-enabled button to go through multiple pages if needed (this is better than swiping on the display as it keeps your finger from blocking your view).

The accompanying LinkSmart app will display the text from Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and SMS notifications along with the app’s icon. You can use the app to set one of 5 watch faces (more will be added with future software updates).

The display has a flat protective glass, which extends into the TPU wrist band. The material is resistant to the wear and tear of daily use, plus the band is IP68 water resistant (1.5m) so you don’t have to take it off in the shower.

You can pull the one part of the band of the device to reveal a USB-A plug – this allows you to plug the Realme Band into any old school USB port to charge (no cable or adapters necessary). That’s a neat trick, considering most other smart bands use proprietary chargers.

The Realme Band packs a 90mAh which lasts up to 10 days with heart rate tracking enabled. It can then be recharged in 1 hour 47 minutes

However, the Realme Band measures your heart rate in real-time, which is energy intensive. It also supports sleep tracking and has a step counter. The band will remind you drink water to stay hydrated and to move for a bit if you’ve remained sedentary for too long.

You can select three of the nine sport modes to be easily accessible on the band itself. Those nine are cricket, yoga, walking, hiking, climbing, cycling, spinning and fitness. Detailed statistics about the activity will be synced to the app.

The Realme Band will be available for INR1,499 ($20.5) later today in what the company calls “hate-to-wait sale”, which will be between 2 PM and 4 PM local time in India. Full on market release is happening on March 9.

Its not a bad Smartband. For someone who wants olny for walking & light exercise its a good cheap band & it really killer price . Though Mi Band 4 has its advantages Amoled ( Small but noticable difference ) , Better Resolution , 20 day...

What about Gps? Mi Band 3i is missing HR(overrated feature in my opinion) but has a amoled display n can be used for swimming. At Rs1299 thats a better bet. Mi bands are also proven.
