Realme Buds Air 5 series will go global on August 23
The Realme 11 series arrived back in May, and they shared the stage with the Buds Air 5 Pro earphones. Today, we learned the audio wearables will reach their first international market on August 23 - it will be launched in India, alongside the Realme 11 5G and Realme 11x 5G.
In just two days, Realme first revealed the Buds Air 5 Pro would arrive in India, and today we saw another case with a different size, LED placement, and fancy blue color - surely this is the vanilla Buds Air 5, a likely successor of the Buds Air 3.
The Buds Air 5 Pro has 11 mm woofers and 6 mm planar drivers, ANC, and supports a high-bitrate LDAC codec. They are splash-proof for protection against sweat and the occasional rainshower, and Realme claimed they could isolate up to 50 dB of noise thanks to six microphones (three on each bud). Battery life is rated at 11 hours with ANC off or 40 hours with the charging case.
The big unknown is how much they would cost - the Pro is selling for CNY 399 ($60) in China, but that price will be increased in India after taxes and tariffs.
