Sagar, 12 October 2022

MediaTek unveiled the new Dimensity 1080 SoC yesterday, and later, Realme VP Mr. Madhav Sheth announced that Realme will launch Dimensity 1080-powered devices this year.

Sheth didn't divulge anything about these Dimensity 1080-powered Realme devices or provide any timeframe for their launch, but we expect to hear more about them soon.

The Dimensity 1080 chip is based on the 6nm process. It comes with an octa-core CPU comprising two Cortex-A78 cores clocked at up to 2.6GHz. Graphically intensive tasks such as gaming and video editing are handled by the Mali-G68 GPU, and there's also support for 200MP camera, sub-6GHz 5G networks, and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.
