mightyshipppp, 24 May 2023Is this still good in May 2023? I'm Considering this a... moreIt's still a really great phone and still ahead of most phones released in 2023. This phone is better than the GT Neo5 and is far better value than the overpriced GT 3 from same Realme.
For camera, Xiaomi 12T is arguably better, but both are very close. From performance tests I saw on YT, the GT2 Pro wins overall.
Elsewhere the GT2 Pro holds its ground against the very best out there.
Nothing Phone (1) is great, has best smartphone design imo but is behind elsewhere especially in performance.
You may want to look at Redmi k60 (2023).
If you game, then the Lenovo legion y70 (2022) is the better option (you will hear lots of crap about "support" not on this phone, but is one of the most underrated smartphones out there!).
I just got the GT2 Pro.
Good luck mate.

mightyshipppp, 24 May 2023Is this still good in May 2023? I'm Considering this a... moreAll phones running snap 8 gen 1 get hot and Realme GT2 pro is no exception... However, if you don't see the issue of overheating it will affect battery life (especially when playing games and using outdoor use), and don't use telephoto lenses often, it's still a good choice... Nice screen, good design, good main camera, updates supported for at least 3 years

Is this still good in May 2023? I'm Considering this as well as Asus Zenfone 9, Oneplus 10 Pro, Nothing Phone, Was going to get Pixel 7 until I found out it is Single SIM as I need access to Dual SIM and eSIMs aren't supported by many phone networks here. I'm considering Xiaomi 12T Pro and Poco F5 but I sort of feel burned from Xiaomi from issues with my current phone (Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro/Redmi K20 Pro). Samsung A54 is an option but I'm still annoyed how it is *still* a downgrade from the A52s in 2021. Anyway if anyone has any input or recommendations about phones then I would appreciate that :)

It's not the device if it overheats it's the 8 Gen 1 the problem. The CPU is a super beast, but Samsung made a mistake and the CPU begin to Trottling at high temps. The ones that not suffer this problem are the Redmagic and the Asus Rogphones with their cooling fans.

Anyone who has this phon... moreif you play games like genshin, this phone can run smooth, but youll need cooler fan cause yes the phone will be hot, but for games like mobile legends, fifa mobile, i dont find any excessive heat issue. SD 8 gen 1 is a beast for performace, but if you want more stabilized heat go for 8+ gen 1, or 7+ gen 2.

Moha, 14 Apr 2023How would you rate software experience for this phone as in... moreRealme UI is pretty much exactly like ColorOS so...not many differences in terms of design or customizability. Yet from my experience, I prefer ColorOS since honestly, in contrary to many reviewers, I find it quite faster and snappier than realme UI. And about Funtouch...well I don't know what to tell you there

How would you rate software experience for this phone as in rivals to.. Oppo's ColorOS
and Vivo's FuntouchOS Flagships
and I'm only asking because I've seen many reviewers refer to Funtouch as a restrictive Software and ColorOS that it's not as snappy and quick.

My phone wasn’t updating automatically, so I had to follow some Reddit forum steps to do it manually. Now, I’m facing many silly bugs, like having to use fingerprint on apps that I didn’t lock and the lighting up fingerprint sensor with moviment feature that almost never works

Jadran, 10 Apr 2023Weight 189 / 199 g !? What makes difference 🤔the white and green color versions have a biopolymer back, the black and blue color versions have a glass back. glass is much heavier element compared to biopolymer.

Lemil1on, 25 Dec 2022After one week of use i can say a couple of things
- GT ... more> should be thick same as X50 Pro
???? Have you never seen a thin phone before??? 8.2mm is already considered moderately thick. Anything above 8.9mm is too thick.
And why would you want to feel like you're carrying a paperweight??? I mean for VERY premium phones I understand, but for any other phone lighter is better. The entire point of making it lighter and thinner is to improve comfort and portability.
