It's true banking apps are very intrusive and deep scan your phone for any modifications and other personal data but this should be illegal. It's none of the bank's business if you unlocked the root account on your phone or not.

I own this phone a week now and I am very happy with it.
A very good and large screen, large battery but not heavy, IP69, excellent responsiveness, smooth and swift processor. The cameras are mid-range but more than acceptable. It also looks and feels good in the hand.
A big recommendation from me.

Although I do agree that rooting will unlock full potential, I don't recommend it. It's a fun hobby to do on the old phone, which you rarely use anymore, but on the new phone? As your main? No, don't do that. One wrong step and you'll brick your phone, wasting $500 in the process.
You won't miss anything if you didn't root it. Just because it unlocks its full potential doesn't mean it's better than others. Every pro has its cons, and it depends on the user as well.

They want 508€ for this thing when the X7 Pro is 330€ (both 12/256gb).
The worst thing is that is with discount, originally 660€. You will find the X7 Pro at 299€ regularly.
7T have way worse thermals too...
Realme, you may just get the tech unaware aboard, but we others are laughing.

I can wholeheartedly recommend to everyone to root their new devices as soon as they buy them.
Unlocking the bootloader (root) will automatically format your internal hard drive. So it's better do it ASAP before using the phone. No need for backups. Keep it simple.
And banking apps not working on rooted phones is a myth. An urban legend. Nothing more. Don't listen to anyone who says that.
Try deleting the administrator account off your PC and see what happens. Having access to the root account is paramount to computing. And yes your phone or tablet is a little mini computer. Without root it's not a computer but merely a toy for adult fools, kids and old people.
Real men however, have root on their phones and tablets.

Rooting also has many disadvantages like voiding your warranty and some banking apps will stop functioning.
All in all it's generally not recommend for new devices like this.
If you really care about rooting that much to the point where you call vanilla users "losers" then maybe you're the real loser and you need to touch grass.
