Realme GT is officially confirmed to be on its way to Europe, shocking price rumored

Vlad, 03 June 2021

A few days ago, a certification revealed that the Realme GT is headed to Europe, and today the company has confirmed this information to XDA Developers, without giving any sort of launch timeframe.

Realme is holding a "Making 5G global" online event on June 3, which may or may not be where the GT gets its European launch details, we'll have to wait and see.

In the meantime, the images you can see above and below this paragraph have been leaked, showing the European version of the GT (note the obligatory regulatory text spoiling the design of the back, and the RMX2202 model number in the About screen).

Aside from the images, a tipster has shared a rough estimate of EU pricing for the GT, and it's shockingly good. Apparently, the phone will start at around €400 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and go up to around €450 with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Note that these prices may vary by plus or minus €20, in the tipster's words.

If this pans out, the Realme GT will definitely be one of the most intriguing 'flagship killer' type devices to launch in 2021 so far, competing with the likes of the Poco F3 while offering better performance because of the newer chipset.

All that said, however, the tipster in question has in the meantime deleted his tweets about the GT, and we're not sure what to make of this - does it mean they were accurate enough that they prompted someone at Realme to ask for them to be taken down, or were they wrong enough that the tipster doesn't want any trace of them left up? We'll probably have to wait until the official launch to find out.
