Vendors (not only soc manufacturers, but screen, touchscreen, cameras, gyroscopes manufacturers) have to offer the possibility to do.
Mediatek does this job, for exemple even on entry Level, mt6737 was released with Android 6, Mediatek maintains it up to Android 10...for exemple, HOMTOM never updates his HT17, it stays with Android 6.0. But they released HT80 with Android 10!
Heating? Just have a look at Exynos 2100 and Snapdragon 888...
Even the Helio X20 didn't throttle like that!

Disappointed by cameras choice! I expect better than the ones on X7 Pro. (X7 Pro uses IMX686, GT Neo only IMX682)
50W charging confirmed
But prices are awesome :
1799 yuans for 6/128Go (235€)
1999 for 8/128 (260€)
2299 for 12/256 (300€)
Expect same perfs as Snapdragon 870 with better thermal!

This chip is good but not to good so just wait for snapdragon 780 will have better updates and about the same performance as this chip set with better camera capabilies.

Headphone jack but no card slot is useless. Might as well get the F3 and get far better specs or get the X3 Pro with huge storage and slot + jack and similar cameras for cheaper and only losing the Amoled.

Long gone are the days of MediaTek releasing crappy unbranded MTxxxx chipsets built on 28nm, as they are aiming to overtake Qualcomm even though this move will take a few more years to be accomplished.
