sigh.., 13 Apr 2022The phone would be an absolute spot on for my needs with a ... moreYeahh, that rant was actually needed, someone needed to speak up😂😂... however, thanks to dongles, maybe the trade-off isn't exactly unmanageable, in my experience I haven't heard of dongles downgrading music quality, I stand to be corrected on this though. Be that as it may, It just looks like a trend most smartphone companies have jumped on, making the audio jack look like it belongs to budget phones only. That isn't right, I plan on getting this phone together with a baseus D02 pro headphone, should the battery be flat in an unlikely area, I'd have to switch from Bluetooth to the aux cord, but then I just remembered, no 3.5mm jack🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️...all the same though, thanks to the dongles, I could endure it... I think... a few reasonable smartphone companies realize how annoying this is, that's why they produce dongles... Poco F3 comes with one in the packaging. I'd say we all just grin and bear it... Cheers✌🏼✌🏼

Rajinders, 13 Apr 2022Your data in the phone is always at risk, for the phone whi... moreIf we're talking about important personal data such as family photos, faculty documents, etc; I would never trust SD card for backup. Most SD card (except the very expensive one) tend to slow and easily corrupted and if its hardware corrupt almost not possible to recover.
Slowness on SD card may impact overall phone performance, sometimes.
One of the solution is to create NAS at home with harddrive attached (harddisk is preferrable than SSD for price and recoverability). And setup certain rules to do backup with periods or on demand.
We can also set the IP public, at least via dynamic IP to make it available and accessible anytime and from anywhere.
If you have more money, cloud is one of the option.

Rajinders, 13 Apr 2022Your data in the phone is always at risk, for the phone whi... moreHmm, I am not really convinced by the IP rating accuracy. I bought an Xperia XZ3 at his time and in a week I splashed it with a few drops of cold coffee, resulting in the total death of the device. At the Sony center they told me that it's not covered by the producer, being a my fault , which it was basically. So I asked the, what's the point of the IP rating if it doesn't guarantee a thing and the answer: it's a guide line, not something that obliges the producer to anything, doesn't even ensures the device is actually waterproof. Well, ok then, f**k IP rating, wasted money. :)))

Your data in the phone is always at risk, for the phone which does not have the option of putting in an SD card.
... Risk is more so when the phone manufacturer is not providing, atleast , IP 67 rating.
Once water enters the device, all data is lost except for the one on the SD Card slot. This is my personal experience from a Realme phone. Only SD card data is saved for me.
So if IP 67 rating is not there, then look for the option of SD Card slot. In order to save something if a mishap occurs with splashed water.

The phone would be an absolute spot on for my needs with a really attractive price-to-performance ratio, but the absence of a 3.5 jack is a legitimate concern for me. I think i'll just wait for now then, though there's probably little to no chance for phones with 8100 dimensity SoC and a 3.5 in the near future, seems like only low-tier budget ones are getting the jack nowadays.
It just boggles my mind how stupid and pointless getting rid of the jack is. The universal standard for wired headsets is still the audiojack. It's still there in your PC, in your TV, and well, was in your smartphone. You could plug in to all of those devices with the same set of your favorite cans without a problem.
And i could understand the needed change, when we consumers would be getting something out of that inconvenience, better audio quality, compatibility perhaps? But that's nothing of a kind. The trend is to just get rid of the jack for the sake of it, it's just plain stupid. There really is no other reason for that, than making an additional buck from wireless accessories shoved down our throats. Seems like we're heading back towards the era of dongles, absolute anti-costumer policy, it's just sad.
Phew, i needed that rant.

There is no point on listening audiophiles music on crowded situation or mobile. Bluetooth do enough on mobile, while USB out for serious listening on quiet environment at home or office.
With a very fast charge, there is no need to use the phone during charging.
