PH Tech 101, 21 Dec 2019As i read comments engts. No one ever mention about the ias... moreFinally get rid of X2 Pro and now i am using Oneplus 7T. Here is my full review..
I did used X2 Pro for about 4 weeks and owned 3x X2 Pro. 1st one had it replaced because of screen uniformity issue and also some weird green looking (not green tint) when in low light and using dark mode (Color OS dark mode is very stupid. Not so dark light black but rather low brightness gray, not using the true black of amoled panels). 2nd one had it refund because same issue as the first one which is in some degree it is much worse than the first one.
3rd one, bought it already from other seller and guess what! Same issue as the 1st and 2nd units but fortunately, the degree of screen uniformity issue is much more lessen compared to the previous 2 units. I'm happy with my 3rd unit honestly speaking but i just noticed some screen retention/image retention/image persistence on my 3rd unit. When in dark mode the retention stays but only for 10 seconds of scrolling or doing anything, it will goes away. It bothers me even though it is not that very noticeable in normal condition, let say 5% of retention only. Actually if you are just a normal user, you will not notice it unless you look for it. Settling my mind to be contented to my 3rd unit and accepting it flaws but my friend got interested in my unit and sold it to her. I told her the issue and said it don't bothers her even i showed it to her. So she bought it from me.
And now i finally decided to buy oneplus 7T in Digital walker here in the Philippines.
First thing i checked is the screen uniformity issue or any oled issue. Fortunately there is none aside from one. There is red tint in low brightness and even in white background it is noticeable but only in low brightness. But i settled for it already as i know that the creator of oneplus, realme and even oppo are all the same. So basically they are all using the same amoled panel.
X2 Pro vs OnePlus 7T
- What i am missing in x2 pro is the 50W charger. The 7T warp charge 30T seems very slow to me! Coming from 50W of x2 Pro. I really missed that a lot!
- Also battery life. In comparison, battery life of x2 Pro is much more way better than 7T. Considering the difference in capacity 4000 vs 3800mah but i am referring to the way in degrading the battery percentage when you're using it. 7T battery is disappointing for me coming from great x2 pro battery. In x2 pro, reaching 100% then staying for it to charge for additional 5 minutes then after than, using it for playing games like pubg and social media. Incredibly the battery is still at 100% believe me when i tell you that. Been using 3x x2 pro already and the battery for all that 3 units are very great. Not just very lucky to have a good battery life unit but the technology behind it is the one that is incredible, x2 pro is using 2x 2000mah battery and combine it to make 4k mah. You can see on youtube the disassembly that it is using 2x 2000mah battery physically. And even using the x2 pro for whole day, i still get around 40% when i go home in 5pm coming from work. While on the 7T, battery is meh for me. Not so good, standby battery is great but when you are using it. It degrades much much faster. Had to charge 7t for 3x in a day.
When it comes to gaming. Here is where it boils down to what is the best.
x2 Pro is a clear win here for me. Men, the vapor cooling chamber works really well! No doubt even while playing pubg at maximum brightness and all max settings. Believe me, it warms a bit for not that very hot as you hold it. Still comfortable to hold. It's like your having high fever something like that.
on 7T, no vapor cooling liquid. It heats up while gaming, im telling you it heats up! And here is the fact. When battery heats up, that is when the battery starts to degrade percentage faster.
When it comes to OS, Oxygen OS is clear win in here. No doubt. But x2 Pro Color OS still great but lacks of other features unlike to OOS which is highly customizable. Smoothness and transitions of animations. for me they are both the same.
When it comes to camera. Both are great, both have the advantage and disadvantage.
Now i am using 7T. What i can say is that i missed those features of X2 Pro. especially on gaming and charging speed.
Overall winner for me in here is X2 Pro (if x2 pro has the Oxygen OS).
By the way, those screen uniformity issue, it is pretty normal but bothering for those who sees it already. I known 3 people also have x2 pro and they also have screen uniformity issue but in some degree and different orientation of the issue. Same as 7T which has the tint issue.
Amoled sucks! Samsung sucks! Hope in the future they fix this issue on their panels.

Anonymous, 11 Jan 2020The green tinted screen right? Green is only when display is on 60Hz and it's not very bad. Red is when display is on 90Hz and it's very bad: https://i.imgur.com/qWYtpcZ.jpg

Android... moreWell said , X2 pro is very good even considering my friends OnePlus 7T , U see cam quality and antutu scores topping from other overpriced flagships but nothing can beat this SuperVooc and I m loving it ... and from a General user it is a complete phone minus expandable storage and if u r a pro user , wait for flashing Custom ROMs coming ...

Only down side is the sharp edge around the screen. If you use a protective case, you're good. The rest of the experience is absolutely great.

Pukikia, 06 Dec 2019Haha well. Of course Asus rog phone 2 has high capacity bat... moreThe Asus ROG 2 has 2 day battery life. You have to sleep eventually. Charge it while you're sleep and you're good. I want to know if ColorOS still doesn't allow users to change the stock messaging app or the stock launcher.

Anonymous, 27 Dec 2019Many people regretting their decision in buying this phone,... moreWhat thing are considered quality?
Camera? Screen? Android Skin? Build quality?
I can only agree this X2 Pro only lack on camera quality, which is of course is expensive feature.
Screen? I think it should be fine to use, unless the one you bought keep broken.
Then Android skin where this X2 Pro use Color OS, it is about user preference rather than lack of features.
Lastly, I think the phone build quality is ok, given it is from OPPO. No water resistant is also a cost cutting measure for lower down the price.
Lastly, someone complain about extra weight, it is almost as big and as heavy as Samsung Note 10+. Clearly this is the Note size equivalent of phone, which has big screen, but only lack of S-Pen. Do you heard people complain on Samsung Note 10+ being heavy?
I think it is the non-sense person that want to compare everything cheap is bad, then also nitpick on the weakness that is caused by cost cutting for cheaper price.
Yes, I agree cheaper price product does makes some compromise on some features, but it is not 2 to 3 times worse than those smartphone that is almost 2 times more expensive.
For a user like me who can adopt faster into any UI and brand, I can use this smartphone without any issue for very long time.

realme, try to control weight of your phones. 200gm is too much for a daily driver.
