Red HTC U11 to be available soon [update: pre-orders live]

Update: As expected, the Solar Red color variant of the HTC U11 smartphone is now available in the US.

The red color option is now showing up on HTC's US website, although it's currently up for pre-orders, with shipments set to begin sometime next month. Price remains the same: $649.

The HTC U11 launched in the US less than a couple of weeks ago, and is currently available through the company's official online store as well as some third-party retailers and carriers. Available color options include silver, black, and blue.

Now, it looks like a new color option - Red - will be available in the country soon.

A quick look at HTC USA's Twitter timeline reveals the company has been running a countdown since late last week, teasing the new model along with a number that presumably indicates the number of days left for the model to arrive. So by that logic, red U11 should be launched tomorrow (June 20).
