Redmi flagship will have an in-display fingerprint sensor, great battery life
A lot of phones leak, so some companies have recently started to compete with those by drip feeding us official information about upcoming devices. Redmi GM Lu Weibing, for example, is very active on Chinese social network Weibo, and has already confirmed a few key details about the brand's first ever flagship handset.
Today is no different, and in keeping with its other top of the line specs, the Redmi flagship will also come with an in-display fingerprint sensor. Additionally, Lu Weibing said the phone will get great battery life, but hasn't actually confirmed a capacity for the cell. Perhaps that's a "leak" for another day. For what it's worth, past rumors pegged it at 4,000 mAh, which should be ample enough when paired with the Snapdragon 855 chipset that will be running the show.
The handset will definitely not be called Redmi X, in fact it could go by Redmi K20 Pro if a recent leak wasn't just a Photoshop job. We'll have to wait (some more) and see. The device could become official either on May 13 or May 20, so we're not very far away from the moment when all of the details will be uncovered.
