Redmi K30 Pro flexes Snapdragon 865 and 8GB of RAM on Geekbench
If you needed any persuasion that the Redmi K30 Pro is happening and that it will be a Snapdragon 865-equipped variant of the Redmi K30, you got it.
The Redmi K30 Pro just popped up on Geekbench 5.1 with a Snapdragon 865 and 8GB of RAM and posted a score of 900/3300 single and multi-core, which is a healthy increase over the Snapdragon 855 scores in the 500/2200 ballpark. Naturally the K30 Pro is running Android 10.
Xiaomi and Redmi have a populated roadmap of Snapdragon 865 devices on the way. On one hand you've got the K30 Pro arriving soon, then there's the Poco F2 and finally there are the Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. Good times!

He's talking about (cheap-ness) not about performance, if you want performance then you should go with a flagship phone not a mid-range one. Besides, Dimensity support hardware-optimized AV1 codec which sd865 doesn't! This feature alone makes me want...

I have no problem with the performance of MediaTek CPUs, it's specifically the lack of updates.

It's not my obligation to answer that question. If you don't see why Redmi is selling on significantly lower price margins and sells on specific market (developing countries) then it just means that the Redmi as a sub brand is doing the right thing.
