Redmi K30 Pro to arrive in March with 5G
Xiaomi released the Redmi K30 and Redmi K30 5G with dual-punch hole and four cameras on the back in December. In fact we already reviewed it and one of the few complaints we have is the chipset that is unable to take full advantage of the 120Hz screen.
Today, the brand’s own Weibo page confirmed a Redmi K30 Pro will arrive in March to address that. It will also have 5G connectivity as befits a flagship these days.
The teaser reveals the phone will skip the dual punch-hole in the screen and is likely to have a selfie shooter inside a periscope-type elevating mechanism, just like its predecessor Redmi K20 Pro. Specs are yet to be confirmed, but we expect a Snapdragon 865 chipset with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X55 modem for 5G.

Meanwhile Xiaomi confirmed that the next Redmi phone, likely the K30 Pro given the timing of the announcement, will have ISRO’s own NavIC - that is the satellite navigation system of India. The managing director of Xiaomi India posted some photos from a meeting with the ISRO chairman on Twitter, where he also gifted him a Redmi K20 Pro.
