Redmi K70E debuts with Dimensity 8300 chipset and a 6.67" 120Hz display
The Redmi K70 and K70 Pro are joined by a third member – the more affordable Redmi K70E. The base 12/256GB model is already up on Xiaomi’s web store in China with a price of CNY 2,000 (which converts to $280/€260/₹24,000). For comparison, the K70 (12/256GB) is CNY 2,500 and the K70 Pro (12/256GB) is CNY 3,300.
Unlike its siblings, the K70E is powered by a Dimensity 8300 Ultra, a 4nm chip with Cortex-A715 and A510 cores plus LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0 support. The phone makes use of that with its 8,533Mbps (12GB or 16GB) and storage (256GB, 512GB or 1TB). The chipset is cooled via a 5,000mm² stainless steel vapor chamber.
Dimensity 8300 Ultra with a 5,000mm² vapor chamberThe E-phone also differs in its display – it’s still a 6.67” panel, though with a lower resolution of 1,220 x 2,712px. It’s still a high-quality panel with calibrated 12-bit colors (deltaE = 0.43), Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support. It has a 120Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate, plus high frequency PWM dimming of 1,920Hz so it can gradually regulate its brightness, which peaks at 1,800 nits.
6.67” 1.5K display with 12-bit colors, 120Hz refresh rateThis model has 10% more battery capacity than its siblings, 5,500mAh total. And while its maximum charge rate is lower at 90W (vs. 120W), it can still do a full 100% charge in 34 minutes. The Xiaomi P2 custom chip handles the fast charging, the G1 looks after battery life.
The 5,500mAh battery can be fully recharged in 34 minutesThe camera is the part that is most affected by the low price tag. The main module has a small 64MP sensor (1/2”) and OIS, which is joined by an 8MP 120° ultra wide camera and a macro cam. The main cam can record 4K video at 30fps and 1080p at 60fps. There is also a 16MP front-facing camera (with 1080p at 60fps video capture support).
Redmi K70E cameras: 64MP main, 8MP ultra wide and a macro camThe Xiaomi Redmi K70E is available in three colors, which you can find on the company’s online store in China.
Redmi K70E color optionsThere are also three memory configurations: 12GB/256GB for CNY 2,000, 12GB/512GB for CNY 2,200 and a fully-loaded 16GB/1TB version for CNY 2,600.
PS. Xiaomi hasn't confirmed it yet, but this model should be rebranded as the Poco X6 Pro for the global market.

True, but those prices fall rapidly. The X5 Pro can be found now at $290 for the 256/8 version, and around that price the X6 Pro would be a killer.

Remember these are Chinese prices you see here. I now expect a 5:1 CNY/USD conversion for Chinese only phones going global. This indicates a $400 phone, which is a still excellent deal but not an insane slam dunk.

I have two different things to say about this phone: 1. Oppo phones somehow have SD680 for 80% of the price in the same market. They need to step up their game. 2. The storage markup is only 180% for the first upgrade and 100% for the 2nd u...
