Redmi Watch 4 and Redmi Buds 5 Pro also go official
Redmi held a big launch event in China today where we got the new Redmi K70 series smartphones alongside two new smart wearables – the Redmi Watch 4 and Redmi Buds 5 Pro wireless earbuds. Watch 4 brings a redesigned look with a large 1.96-inch AMOLED and plenty of neat watch band styles while the Buds 5 Pro offer Hi-Res audio, ANC and up to 38 hours of total playtime.
Redmi Watch 4
Redmi Watch 4 features a 1.96-inch AMOLED screen with 390 x 450px resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. The panel is rated at up to 600 nits of peak brightness and supports Always-On display functionality. This is the first Redmi Watch to get an aluminum alloy casing and is also 5ATM waterproof.
Xiaomi’s HyperOS covers the software side and you also get on-board GNSS positioning, NFC and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. Watch 4 covers your usual health tracking with heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep and stress tracking. You’re also set for activity tracking with over 150 sports modes to choose from including voice-guided workouts and recovery programs.
Watch 4 brings a 470 mAh battery which should last you up to 10 days with AOD and all health tracking features enabled or up to 20 days with lighter usage.
Redmi Watch 4 is priced at CNY 500 ($70) in China and is available from Xiaomi’s official website.
Redmi Buds 5 Pro
Redmi Buds 5 Pro come with a traditional in-ear design and offer dynamic drivers with 10mm ceramic-coated tweeters and 11mm titanium-plated woofers. The buds support LHDC 5.0 Hi-Res audio streaming and offer active noise cancelation which is advertised to drown out up to 52dB.
Buds 5 Pro pair over Bluetooth 5.3 while the special e-Sports version comes with a separate USB-C 2.4Ghz transmitter that brings latency down to 20ms. The combined battery life between the buds and the charging case is rated 38 hours with 6.5 hours from the buds in ANC mode on and 10 hours with it off.

Just bought the 3 but sleep monitoring and heart/calorie calculation are not even 50% close compared to Polar H10! On the other hand, Huawei's old band 6 and Honor's Band 6 has accurate sleep and HR monitors! True Sleep is well develop...

When any major oem other than Huawei is going to release round 2 in 1 smartwatch like Watch buds? I have Gejian x7 but this has so bad microphone in earbuds, software is lacking and tracking sleep, movement etc is terrible, other than that it is...
