Cea... moreGo and Google S Pen features about Pen windows(top notch multi tasking),Note taking anywhere to keep it as a reminder or favorites etc,they are so useful and irreplaceable with fingers,ipad is like iphone on big screen and even reviewer on this really being fussy about the lame iOS7 on big screen which has more battery and more memory and nothing's new.Quite sad isn't it? I am sensing a huge decline in apple tablets soon like they slipped from top place in smartphone areas,hey it is ok,it is just natural to fall from top and get back to top later on as they are just cycle,and nothing's more.Cheers!

Too bad this article doesn't measure the battery life in productivity hours. The ability to multi-task and have more pages up simultaneously are moments you don't have to waste closing, opening new page, wait for load time, hope where you closed it last opens up where you need it( otherwise search and destroy, etc.), then toggle back and forth, copy, paste, yadda yadda, on and on.
Depending on the ability of the user to utilize the features of both the iPad Air and the Samsung Note 10.1 2014 will show the true length of the battery life.
Getting a task done on one machine that only has 9 hours of battery life in 4 hours greatly exceeds that of a machine with 12 hours of battery life that takes 6 or 7 hours to do. You then have hundreds of those tasks, and yes, you charge more often, but the time savings is what's appealing to any/all tech. Of course better options are available elsewhere but that's a discussion for a different forum. Between the two, even with the slight hiccups that may follow android, this was a brilliant move by Samsung. Increase productivity, save time; as everyone knows time = money.

But still you should personally inquire at Apple Authorized Reseller.

I dont get it. Android and Apple are hopeless as a real business tool as you can only look and not do a great deal. As toys for looking at facebook, movies, a few mails, vids, photos, and for dorks, playing games all day, then good for you. But why the hell bother. If think a light weight surface pro 2 would cream the market. At the moment everyone is in raptures about specs, a romantic interlude with screens and dubious things like benchmarks, that 99% of the market does not care about. What about real cross purpose function. Many of my friends have iPads, but they doing nothing really useful, so why they hell buy it. I think the normal surface 2 has a role. If you are business inclined, then obviously it is far better than Android or Apple. The Apple Air is like attending a bikini model show - the specs are there, but you cannot enjoy the touch experience.

Anonymous, 28 Nov 2013I don't know what is more absurd....You thinking that the c... moreIts just reinforcing my confirmation to buy Note 10.1 2014 P-601...its really productive, really fast(ignore benchmark delisting, its only highlighting its attention which is rightfully deserved to this product), flexible, efficient, one can reduce background app to increase its battery life...
At end it depends on sole User how he ends up using his product & fulfills his needs by this tab. I am finally decide to buy this one, bit costly but will last couple of years...considering to get latest updates...

Why buy these devices - what do they really do that is useful - pay a vid or a game, access internet and email, view a few docs, but they are not even close to replacing a top end laptop. I have a sony carbon fibre laptop that is just as light, if not more, and absolutely leaves these device for dead in their tracks. These devices are toys for children to look at dirty pictures on the net and gossip on facebook - big deal - get a life.

Fear1ess, 28 Nov 2013The only fake thing is your prejudice that they are not che... moreWell, it is simple,Android hardware doesn't work at max all time(like apple devices) for battery saving,keep it cool,to last longer,but when benchmarking apps come in they are tasked to run at max and not tweaking it to score more than 2.3GHz(if their speed is at 2.3GHz) for example,they are just running at what they can and you can know it has very capable hardware even without benchmark apps right? For exapmle,like Bugatti,it runs at 200-220mph while it is not testing(when change name the core you get is this) but if you are testing its speed and power it will perform at max around there 267mph(with the proper command) and I bet you are not driving at max all time though it can,does it make more sense than you wrongful accusation? I think all the manufacturers use this method. I am highly convinced that apple did the same too,since anadtech never mentions about apple devices' results and just say apple and motorola didn't(sounds like mild racism in there too,the rest company are form Asia based ones). Before that you guys say nobody cares about benchmark and nobody buys just because of benchmark only and it is totally truth trust me. I know since iph 3 to 5 it lose to all Android devices but iph5s has better hardware so it can beat some 6-month older devices and they are making any fake news of it and yet failing,can't cahnge the fact that device can't beat Note3,G2 and Z1 etc which are some days earlier apple devices, chill down,it has nothing to do with us,we are merely consumers and buy what we want and what fits us the best.Cheers! So,Note 10.1 is not rubbish and will not be, as I can see so many potentials like good performance,top-notch multi-tasking,good camera,good speakers and can throw any videos,music,images files etc and list go on,in my opinion, ipad sounds more useless to me if I have like 4.5 or 5 inch iphone because it is totally the same with iphone 5 just with bigger screen @_@ except memory inside got 128GB choice :)

First of all they never overclocked the chips for benchmarks. They ran at the full STOCK potential.
of course they are getting the Kitkat update..And at least a couple more.
And obviously it's powerful enough. S800 and Cortex A15 chips.
Even chips with cortex a5 and adreno 200 can run jelly bean.

Even if they are using more expensive memory I don't think it matches the increase. I think the Android tabs do get an advantage though with a free OS. Slap a skin from a dev on it and there you go. Of course there are apps for certain features but the OEMs have it pretty easy.
I think the Samsung wins this for the features but it's a close one. The iPad really deserves that "air" title.
Btw I'm using the iPad Mini 2 to view this. I think I have the winner of best 7-8 inch tab this year. :)
