Why must you test the Exynos when the Snapdragon is clearly better and most people in Europe will be getting the S800 model, testing the Exynos clearly gives Ipad an advantage, are u guys trying to balance scores? BS if u ask me

Samsung's multi-tasking prowess wasn't covered well, makes Ipad Air seem like it has a chance in the multi-tasking department.

What about as a business tool. Ok they both do photo, email, access internet, play games, etc. So what? In that regard they are no more than a larger mobile without gsm function. Recently, like last week, there was an urgent funding deadline to meet, and I discovered my partner only uses an iPad. Due to the lack of business tools, functionality similar to a laptop, and his thinking an iPad does every thing, we lost a major opportunity. These devices are not business tools. They are bloody hopeless, and will never replace a decent laptop. They are only a presenting device, but useless as a full blown professional business creating tool. Perhaps the Surface 2 pro is the way to go, and that is where the comparison should have been with. Understand the inherent limitations of these 2 devices and work out why the hell do you want to buy one in the first place.

AnonD-187520, 25 Nov 2013Samsung (hundai) and apple (Chevrolet). Samsung note is a ... moreAgreed. The Samsung is a more useful tablet. I do agree on what he says about them being different though.

The range of optimised apps is better on the iPad. No question.

I think there's a real difference between both, in that one is typical Apple, as in the average person can pick it up and use it easier, but the Tab is more for tech minded people.

The old argument over which user is more intelligent (sheep vs) is pretty redundant considering the average user base.

Apple have made a light and slim new iPad that's the equal of other similar powered tablets. They like to do that.

Comparing these two is like comparing Kia (Samsung) and Mercedes (Apple)

GSMA, You are the only website out there (after comparing these two) saying that Note got some sort of a chance here….......

                      They shouldn’t be compared!

Ok, Samsung got an S-Pen…. but that’s it!

Tablet experience is MAINLY about apps and there are tons of (optimized) apps (450,000 to be more and less specific) on iPad where most of apps for Android tablets are just a blown up phone apps.

Not TONS of cores, ram and pixels your eyes won't see but apps, apps, apps and apps again… OS/Hardware optimization….. and lastly, build quality… Air design is beautiful and simply on another level with ugly plastic Samsung build!.. this is what matters when comes to tablets…. Samsung is struggling in every of those fields!!!!

Then comes all that Malware, Trojans and Viruses on Android!

Composers, Movie producers and professionals around the world use iPads together with Macs to help produce their next mindblowers! is there are any of the above that use Samsung devices? Highly doubtful!

As an example - Can Note work as expansion and remote to software like Logic Pro? Of course not, but iPad can!!!! Note is just a toy for people who want to change their icons and ad some widgets to feel a WOW factor and be "COOL" but this is where the story ends!

I've played with both and frankly, I am surprised by this review.

Stylus? Seriously, there are probably 3 people in the world who need this on a regular tablet. The Samsung Galaxy Note is nowhere near Wacom's quality, so the review should not be implying that.

The Samsung also feels cluttered and, well, geeky. Not good geeky, as in smart, but just messy, sweaty, pimply geeky.

Finally, the screen aspect: 16x9 is the staple for Androids and it's great for phones, but it truly sucks for tablets. Most stuff, like browsing the web, reading documents or magazines, even playing games, are better done on a 4x3 touch screen.

Unless you don't own a decent size TV and watch camrips on your tablet (yes, here come the sweaty geeks), regular movie viewing is not the primary purpose of tablets, thus the Galaxy's 16x9 screen aspect is just lame.

Overall, there is a reason why the iPad outsells all other major manufacturers in the developed world. It's just better.

Samsung can take its pen and shove it.... :-)))

It's interesting that iOS is always referred to as user friendly (especially for elder people) and at the same time, my grandad has no problem using his galaxy s2 but couldn't figure that safari=internet on the ipad he just bought (as it is on his phone) and he couldn't find a way to close tabs once in the browser because the cross was too small.. it must depend on the person i guess

I find the review in many parts biased. for example at multimedia conclusions is states "Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 is the best tablet for drawing". If you look in the text this is because there is an app that allow you to draw on it... i am sorry this is not about the tablet and furthermore there might be similar apps for the ipad too. the fact that the reviewer does not know them doesn't make the other tablet better...

The comparison I eagerly waited for, but I can't decide!
Both are great and this is my main problem to choose between to great devices.

Are Android apps as optimised as the iPad's these days on tablets?

The Samsung is definitely the winner here but I don't get what GSM Arena are saying about Audio?

Is the iPad superior processing audio, but doesn't have as good speakers?
