29 November 2013
There is a tall task ahead of the Microsoft Surface 2. The first generation of the Microsoft tablet arrived with much fanfare but had little success, and the newcomer has to entice new customers, proving along the way that Redmond can be a factor in...

            Asus t100 selling at 399 with a Win8.1?
Microsoft ought to be ashamed of themselves for still trying to rip consumers off with WinRT products .
The only reason why anyone would be getting a Win RT is a clearance day when millions of Win RT tablets left unsold rotting in some warehouse.

very useful and great device but still need to improvement for storage.
If it could increase storage to larger HD size instead of SD 64gb.
This would make device for both play and work..

The best tablet is iPad Air LOL are you having a laugh... Its just a overpriced toy.

The Surface 2 has a full size usb port and full office and it has a full functional internet browser something the iPad lacks.

The Surface 2 is far and away better than any iPad

Great device for work and play that would replace heavy metal laptop.
Need more apps and make it flexible to allow Andriod OS and apps would make it miracle success..

"The 32GB and 64GB variants to the Surface 2 are out of stock. Prior to selling out, it appeared the Surface 2 did not receive a "Holiday deal" as the tablet maintained its original price of $449 for the 32GB model and $549 for the 64GB variant."

Oh no. I don't think I can get a Surface 2 anytime soon. Looks like I'll be getting the Surface Pro by January. Surface 2 currently is rising at some 6%+ on the non-iPad sector. This is a good sign people are interested what Microsoft is offering.

I see Windows RT prospering in the upcoming months. I'm staying invested. I can never say I will enjoy another thing like the new Asus T100 Transformer even if it promises up to 11 hours of usage. Its keyboard encoding is unreliable, and the whole thing is 23mm+ thick. No thank you.

Surface RT is doomed, just like Playbook. Awesome device but lack of apps will fail. If I want arm tablet, I'll pick iPad or Android, lot of apps & more productive. x86 tablet has so-so performance & battery life but huge library of apps and OS! Yes, OS. Why use Windows if I can install more secure & virus-free x86 OS (unix, ubuntu, mint, hackintosh, you name it). As long as OS support atom processor you're good to go.
