Sony Xperia C review: Cash and carry

5 December 2013
The China-bound Sony Xperia C could be the right opportunity to smuggle some big-screened, quad-core goodness into markets where those things usually fetch a high price. It’s certainly the right size too. Five-inchers don’t...

Guys, been using this phone for last 15 days. Battery is good, processors is fast, good for games, display is ok. But the camera sulks. Did load camera MMX, got slightly better. I prey to sony to kindly do something to make the camera better. Pictures not sharp at all, have faded colours. Never expected this from Sony. Even my old HTC chacha which had 5 MP camera used to take better pictures.

miki, 16 Dec 2013how to install apps and games to SD? Do we need to roof it?... moreyou just need to go to setting> storage > preferred installation location. that's it, however some apps/game apk or files will still be installed in the internal memory, All you need to do is go to settings> storage> apps, this will show you apps that you installed and once you click on each app, you'll have the option to move the remaining files to your SD card.

              actual -2 Gb
memory for apps - max 700 mb
              media storage - 1.2 gb

can wee utilize media storage memory as app storage memory?
              if anybody knows pls help.

              If we can't do so
why Sony did separation of this 2gb also.
because this is the first phone from Sony where internal memory has been split in to two types.

request Sony to please change in the upcoming update.

because Customer max can install 10-15 apps with this mode.

              please please change.

Not seen it in UK yet, but who knows. I don't like Sony screens for reasons outlined. It's odd that a company that promotes so much over it's bravia engine, actually has often a poor viewing experience inc video playback...reminds me of beats audio in HTC. Agreed this is an economy device...but huawei have that base covered...well prior moto g anyhow.

Well I'm currently using this phone I felt it is fast and it may compete with other close price range of the phone. But that is one thing isn't good for the phone is it will reset every setting after you restart your phone.

AnonD-192327, 10 Dec 2013I bet my Samsung Galaxy SIII better than this..They benchmark similarly, and there's no doubt where the bloat and heavy ui is but Sure, antiquated home button, dead and buried menu button, more plastic, bloat ui, region lock with 4.3, if those are good then go ahead and knock yourself out. It's too hard to go back to Samsung after using Xperia, I bet you also go to home screen and start already running apps from there instead of using appswitch, that's what I see all Samsung users doing, it's just too awkward to long press that home button, so inefficient, so outdated work flow.

S3 does give you a better camera though, but the price is significantly higher so I would not expect less, in fact I expect more but there isn't much...

SG, 06 Dec 2013Still u did not learn Sony. Internal memory only 2GB? u ki... moreu can move apps to sd/ install apps to sd on xperia c. unlike galaxy grand on which u can only save apps to internal memory.

" what People with budget constraints look for is this. 1. Screen size 2. Internal / Expandable memory 3.Atleast 1GB RAM , Now guess how GRAND made a success story. "

                                  1. Xperia C has a decent screen size and below average to good viewing angles
                                  2. Xperia C has expandable memory plus an option to install/move apps to SD card.
                                  3. Read the specs, Xperia C has 1GB RAM.

                                  - u can't tell that xperia c doesn't have the specs that u are looking for. I own one, it's good, UI is fluid, transition effects are good, No lag during usage. and i have my apps and games installed in my SD card.
