Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 review: The Professional

10 February 2014
With the tablet market reaching near-saturation, another slab that’s just as thin, light and powerful as the rest of them will hardly bring crowds to the stores. Every maker is desperate to get some breathing space but few dare look for a space to call their own...

Great freaking review! I need a new tablet since I'm tabletless since I sold my Nexus 7 2012 few months ago.

I want this so bad! I just need $200 USD (Tax return) and I can get it, lol. Great specs and design!

I'll skip the Nexus 7 2013/LG G Pad 8.3 and go all the way for this sexy beast 8" class tablet. 7" is too small and anything over 8" is too big, 8" tablet is just the right size for me.

Thanks for the helpful review, GSMArena team.

Really a professional and precise design. Can't wait for its hands-on video.

I think I'm done with Samsung after this. Had I wanted a Magazine UI I would have bought the ATIV S, a Lumia or HTC one with their blinkfeed. That couples with the bad codec support just shows that Samsung, is going the copying way. Touch-Wiz was criticized but it sold by the tens of milions, and changing a winning horse for the sake of change... At least multi window works great.

deewinc, 10 Feb 2014No DiVX support? my Galaxy tab 1 plays Xvid/DiVX videos. Th... moreThat is a stupid comment by gsmarena... 99.9% of people install another video or music player anyway which can support all codecs. Personally MX player us the best. I am yet to find a video file it can't play.

Unlike Note pro 12.2 which is a total none sense, this tablet is damn great.
Now I dont know weather I must buy mini retina or this one.
          Both are great...

No DiVX support? my Galaxy tab 1 plays Xvid/DiVX videos. Then a 4800mAh battery with such a high resolution screen is a thumbs down!!!

it would be mine even as it was more expensive as the iPads are, if only it had the signature Samsung feature, the S-Pen.

I would replace my 7.7 tab with this if it had on screen buttons. It's not that it a total deal breaker but in order to spend so much money for a replacement it needs to be perfect "in my eyes".
