ha ha .. anybody convinced enough to sell G2 for S5 ??
yeah we all knows s5 is an outdated phone which got delayed in market by 6 months .
G2 can still rule the world bcoz of dev support in XDA .
it can shoot 4k and 120 fps videos. so whats new in s5 ? fingerprint scanner and S-lag ??

I think if I was getting one, I'd go for the LG with the FM Radio. That's a handy feature.
Being cheaper is always welcome too.

I wish reviews like this faced the fact that the LG actually has a much smaller screen - at least a smaller _usable_ screen - due to the on-screen back/home etc. controls. I was tempted by the G2 to replace my old Galaxy S3 but when I compared the two recently I found my S3 actually gave me more usable screen size despite being 'only' 4.8". Suddenly the compact size of the G2 seemed rather less impressive!

In the sunlight contrast ratio they show the galaxy note 3 instead of the galaxy s5

However that is not always the case. Just like anything else many other things play into it. Like the size of the individual pixels itself, the type of optics, how many lenses there are, having OIS or software, how well it's implemented, how well the software is tuned for it, and so forth.
As well when it comes to sensor size as you can see the smaller number actually means a bigger sensor.
And where to look? Places like here on Gsmarena are a good start. They explain these things well and show good comparisons.

LG brought many Firsts in Electronic Industry long time ago before samsung entered Electronic Industry.

G2 is still fine.
I prefer the Longer battery life and still great camera.
But i admit S5 is overall winner.
Just wait for G3!

The s4 had terrible battery life. I have the s5 right now and it's nothing special. Really just a reiteration of the s4 with some upgrades. The g2 was a much better package. Cheaper. Faster. Brighter. Better design/bezels, better camera. It even got kitkat first. I love Samsung but the g2 is underrated and a lot of people only see brand names. G2 was one of the best phones I've ever owned looking forward to the g3

[deleted post]I don't understand why people like so much to point at others like fanboys, I was just referring to plain benchmark figures. These phones are not the fastest as the title implies and I've used the G2 for 2 weeks, it's not even very stable I'd say; it crashes a lot and has the most horrible UI I have seen for a flagship.

I like how they pointed out the obvious, but at least did it in a nice way without just coming out and saying.
LG is copying Samsung in order to try and beat them.
If you are going to take longer to come out with a product to beat someone. And do so by copying their looks and features...You might want to try a little harder to outdo though.

Get ready for fanboys and haters to try and deny this crushing victory for the S5. Seriously, get over it, it is just a phone. The fact that it has the best display, great performance, great battery life, amazing camera, durability and waterproofing, etc. won't kill you. Go on with your lives without needing to yell "SAMSUCK".
