Using 1mobile market, I have installed google maps and google search(with voice - "ok google") and surprisingly it works just fine. Although hangouts and gmail do not work, the native email app is fantastic and works quite well. Whatsapp works very well with no crashes till now, as others already mentioned.

i dont know why sammy paid guys come here crapping all the shit without using THIS PHONE . I am using it in India for 2 weeks , I use Nova-Launcher & it works gr8 , NOKIA X os is so advanced that even if open 8-9 apps or more , Phone doesn't Hang , thanks to multi-suspend tech Nokia used in it . OVERALL IT IS WORTH in 10,500 INR

Nokia guys should learn how to make 'Colour choices'. First thing. Windows 8.1 is such a boring platform. Second! All the phones are coloured. That's bad enuf. What happened to black/silve/or white. Like htc and samsung. Apple products.

Nokia xL when we sees its big screen...dual sim...android...flash...cheap price
we just get wowwed :p bt aftr buyin it I m geelin wtf...this phone is useless....heating...some apps get hanged...whats app automatically closing problem...social apps wrkin hell badly...:) just smiling on my choice :) a big shiny cell full of craps... Go for it nd den say as me :p XL u r such a wasting of money,..,better to have grand neo..3000+ doesnt costs...den loosin 11500 fr crap...

I don't know why it bothers some people, that there is no right, only a forked Android on the Nokia XL. At Amazon's Kindle it's also AOSP, and since there is not such a hype ...
I will definitely buy one! Microsoft says, that one kind of apps are "not necessary" on WP by the systems limitations: internet security, including anti-virus and firewalls. For myself, i do not believe in that, because i had have a spy on my old Nokia 5230! My safety is worth more to me than any "this will never happens"-statement.
