Oppo Find 7a review: A-lister

05 May 2014
Oppo has been consistently living up to its name as an innovator in the mobile space and actually over-delivering in terms of user experience and features. To be fair, it’s only going to get harder for them – this was easily a brand to approach with...

This phone looks a LOT like the oneplus one. Too bad there's no mention of that phone at all. Ok, it's not reviewed yet, but it will be the closest competitor to this phone.

Stereo crosstalk is a measurement of the interference between the two audio channels of a given device. All modern digital audio players feature two distinct analogue channels for audio (left and right) to match the stereo recordings, but most often a certain degree of inter-channel interference can occur. The stereo crosstalk measurement determines the amount of signal leaking from one channel to the other. In purely non-technical terms, this rating measures how good the stereo effect is. The larger this value is (the further away from zero), the better the quality of the sound coming from each channel.

        -from GSMArena.com

        ------------------------------

Stereo crosstalk basically means how sound bleed there is between the left and right channels.

If there's lots of crosstalk (the nearer it is to zero "0") then that means that you are more likely to hear some of the sound destined for the left speaker sneak out of the right speaker as well (and vice versa). If there's less crosstalk (the farther it is to zero "0") then it means that the sound that is made for the left speakers will go to the left and the sound made for the right speakers will go to the right.

Straputsky, 05 May 2014"The stereo crosstalk increases way beyond the point w... moreright and left ear channels would mix up. For example, in snow by rhcp, instead of hearing the intro coming in from the right before the drums hit, you'd hear it through both channels.

As things look and as mentioned in the review the 7a version costs the same as the Note 3...i think its a no brainer getting the Note 3 and QHD screen for another €100 is not even an option and my opinion is that even if the asian market craves for bigger displays everything above 5 inch is too big for everyday use,i know that sounds good and people think about watching videos or browsing its all good but if you have to carry it all day around you start too feel the size and the weight of these big phones.

I tested OPPO myself, yes it's a good phone indeed, the UI is not as flexible as the few bigger player. But the distributor themselves doesn't have spare parts when it comes to warranty claim, which is a headache. Story will different for LG and Samsung though. LG G Pro and Note 3, although having the SD800, they have 3GB of RAM (very important for Android) and they will have better user experience overall. Test the phone before buy. China.......

What is this supposed to mean? I don't understand the implications to the end user, using some headphones. Can anyone please explain this?

Finally, Oppo phone with removable battery and expandable storage! And it's using Snapdragon!

This one is a worthy smartphone, no kidding.

Now if they can set some reliable Oppo Service Center in my city, I'll be sure to pick Oppo as my next phone. After-sales services is also important!

Best phone of the year. You can say "oh,its a chinese phone" "oh,sony is the best" "oh old android version" but in the end, there's only this quote
"You can tell we really liked the Oppo Find 7a and the
time we spent with the handset. It is quite the looker
and performer, and yet it doesn't cost an arm and a
                        leg. - GSMArena"
60h endurance rating even with the poor standby, which OPPO is fixing by the way,so if you want to call that "bad battery life" that's okay, but if I can charge to 100% in an hour, who cares?!

The Find 7 does have a bigger battery (3000 mAh compared to 2800 of the 7a), so I won't be so quick to disregard this phone based on the just 'good' battery performance of the Find 7a.

Charging the whole thing in one hour is nothing to sneeze at.

Great phone, bravo OPPO! Personally, I can't understand, why other phones, like LG, Samsung, Htc, with same specifications are 30-50% expensive then this???? This phone even have better built quality then many other flagships.... great review, GSMarena.

Battery life not good enough for such an expensive phone in 2014. Even more disturbing is that fact this is a good indicator that the QHD panel version will be utterly hopeless.
