Far ahead? Just because they have QHD and OIS? Are you delusional? The S5 and Z2 have plenty of their own advantages here as well.

Ergonomics and or thinness?
Sunlight legibility?
You don't know how the battery life actually compares. Or how much the held the screen back like in G Pro 2.
You don't know how the headphones sound.
How about how it is now a Phablet.
Obviously you are denying the advantages of other devices in favor of your own preference....Then talk about blind fanboys and denial....The irony.

Stop crying ppl .. you have to accept that this time LG is far ahead of competition . samsung may cm with note4/ sony may cm with z3 .. but as of now this phone is the KING ... other manufacturers need to send their initial prototypes of note4/z3/M9 back to design dept to make this much compact and simple phone ...
LG u did it ...
note: even google may stopped nexus line , but chances are there they will launch nexus6 seeing this awsome device

If someone doesn't see that way, he/she has appreciation issues. Waterproofing and Fingerprint scanner don't make a phone advanced. Heart rate monitor is also a gimmick to gain more easy-to-deceive customers. LOL

atleas... moreI don't know about full brightness because I think GSMArena does the tests at 50%, but the Note 3 lasted over 13 hours.
And again. It does not matter if the battery life is decent. What matters is they had the ability, space, and all around requirement to further push the battery life from that G2.
Plus something that worries me is they still have 3000mah and now qHD. How are they getting good life aside other optimizations.
To make the G Pro 2 bigger and still last they dimmed the screen down a lot. It was lighter and more reflective with more bright spots.
Now they had to make it QHD and keep the same size battery.
SO again. Good or not. They had the space, ability, and right to make it better.
If you see this as an attack and flame back you are just a delusional fanboy.

atleas... moreActually I don't care if it's 100 or 1000% brightness, as long as it is a sufficient brightness. Besides that a percent value isn't that helpful. It doesn't say how bright the screen actually is. Not to forget, that contrast is another important factor. With high contrast, you need less brightness.
All in all: Without a serious comparison, this means nothing.
The G3 seems to be a very potent piece of hardware. A replaceable 3000mAh battery (you see that OPO?), microSD, OIS - I really like this phone.
Still I can't understand why they make such a fuss about a "spectacular screen-to-body-size-ratio". It's a simple design decision. They sacrificed buttons/front speakers etc. in order to get the front smaller. That's nothing special. Others could have done the same, but decided otherwise. So what?

Finally, finally LG have woken up and smelt the coffee
I won't mention specs but the LG G2 has what I consider the Bonnie & Clyde or 9smart phone killer combo
NON expansion and NON user replaceable battery
So from G2 LET'S GO G3 think relay when the 3rd leg just catches up the leader and G4 (no not summit) will overtake and LG must have a Usain Bolt
So although it's been Samsung this phone it and even with a year to go before i can upgrade this is the phone I expect to upgrade to
I see the comment on waterproofing but please, I have managaed to take a bath without a phone being in the bathroom and afaik waterproofing destroys the loud speaker
this is why the G3 will make waves
to get all your data from say a G2 to G3 bluetooth or or USB when all that was needed was a microSD card
It takes 2 hours plus to fully recharge any phone battery, the idea of carrying a charger around is
"please sir can I borrow some electricity"
Spare battery I never leave home without one
My point is this Samsung have always included this
That is the reason why they had my loyalty, despite the specs of the G2, it was never in the running

And that still makes it phablet. My main thing about that was the fact that they had the space and ability to add a decently larger battery.
And actually the Z2 is only 0.5mm taller and has stereo speakers to show for that.
As well as a hair slimmer in the width and 0.7mm thinner.
